I used to have a computer set up like that. Then I needed to scavenge some parts from it for various things. I eventually swapped out the mobo for a non-functional one salvaged from a G4 Power Mac (there's visible [i]rust[/i] on it - I only bothered because of the case), and took down the cables (IDE cables look ugly, IMO), but it still looks pretty cool.

I also have a few other things from my early "take old computers apart to learn how they worked" stage. A coin bank made from an old speaker case (it's full now - need to roll it all up and see how much it has). A CRT monitor turned into a small, decorative bookcase. Another CRT monitor case that's going to be used for a portable, all-in-one retrogaming system as soon as I buy the converter to make the scavenged laptop LCD work.

Funfact: If you go to 10:10, you'll see a picture of Hank on the fridge behind Hank. I drew that a long time ago for a friend and sent a copy of it to DurhamrockerZ (it was based off of his "sometimes you gotta kick a baby in the mouth of vomit" skit) and I guess he put it in his collab.
