Yeah, I pre-ordered the game and had around 60 hours over the years and yet when the update came out I was thrown into rank 0. It's apparently to stop smurfs which is fucking bullshit because me and the friends who can play comp still run into a good few.
Kiwi once told me that it takes 8 hours of 200+ point scoring in DM to rank up, and thats if you are good and consistent etc. I really wish I could play with my friends who want to get into the game, the friends who I do have who are ranked up are a good few ranks higher than me so I get demolished when I play with them

I was a Gold Nova Master, had 5 year vet coin (played CS:S since I was 13, almost 7 years ago) and had an expensive inventory.
Making me have to do all that casual server shit I hated made me lose any interest in the game. I hit level 2 and said "fuck this".
I've always wanted to be a voice actor that does some famous/recognizable voices.
Then I could entertain people by playing online games and chatting in one of my voices.
