I very much so dislike the concept of the Deviantant art thread and the worst steam profile threads.
People are singling out other people they don't like or don't agree with, and gathering around to make fun of them. I dislike crazed fandoms as much as the next guy, but saying you hate something and then you search out for people who do like it to laugh at them seems very... unnecessary. Exponentially so when some of the people in question might actually have actual mental issues or some such.
A lack of character perhaps.. or perhaps it's myself looking too deeply into it.

i dunno man, while there are a few posters in the appreciation station who single people out and laugh at them, those guys usually post the weakest content because they are making fun of the artists and not enjoying the terrifying weirdness of the art. for me, quality bad art is like a good wesley willis song, outsider art to be cherished. of course some of the people who draw this shit are fucked in the head but for me it's their strangeness and their naiveness that makes them endearing and entertaining artists. i know that might be a fringe way of looking at it compared to most of the daas crowd but that's kind of why i post in there personally.
