Well, wholesale sweaters can run you about 7-8 bucks depending on where from, jackets (depending on type) you need to purchase from a manufacturer in bulk.
I made my prints myself, using a process called sublimation. I can print any design I want, and then apply it with a heat press to any polyester (or poly blend, but the result will be a little faded) surface, where it stays permanently. It also has zero hand (which means you can't feel the design), and will never fade.
The polyester shirts I'm using are ring spun so they feel like cotton, and are made in the USA, they run me about 5.50 a pop. The sublimation blanks I bought in a large pack, I think it was 100 sheets for 15 dollars at 11x17 inches. Ink prices are negligible per print, but I bought ink in bulk.
The printer and press were fairly expensive.
I could print custom shirts for you fairly cheaply if you wanted me to, by the way
