That's why I never let my computer auto-update. I've had an MS update bluescreen my computer before and that was the last straw :v:

Windows 10 makes it so you can't de-select certain updates in the ToS. So it sounds like you're either getting no updates or all of them.
I haven't had issues with Windows Update fucking up my PC, but I have had issues with Windows Update being a piece of shit in every single way possible and I'm not only still disappointed by that change, but by the fact they didn't bother fixing win update whatsoever

It downloads the updates but it never installs them without me specifically telling it to. And installing the updates is where shit goes south quick.
I used to have my Windows 8 laptop and it would just flat out tell me "we're restarting your computer in 15 minutes, save your shit if you don't want to lose it." Needless to say that pissed me off quite a few times lol

She's coming to get me to go buy funeral dresses and I have never been to one because i avoid them because i try to avoid a lot of life altering things and I'm nervous and sad but idk how to act and its hard for me to cry because i hold things in and i don't know what i should do for her?? she lived with her grandma her entire adult life and idk .. should i get her something or just be there???[/sp]

I've been to two so I guess I can give some advice. I'll spoiler it if people don't want to read this. [sp]First of, you are not expected to cry at a funeral. If you are going, it's to support your friend and maybe members of their family. Long hugs and letting them cry on your shoulder is one the best ways to provide support for them during this time. Just being there helps a ton. Take it from someone who lost both grandfathers.[/sp]
My advice should not be the only one you seek, if anyone else has better advice, please give it.

(assuming you are going) [sp]I'm exactly like you, it takes a LOT to make me cry, and sad events like a funeral aren't something that will. That being said, like kiler mentioned, just being there and being around to comfort and support people is the best thing you can do. Don't feel like you're an asshole for not crying because someone passed away, it's a somber time and if you cry you do. But definitely don't think you're expected to. But just be around, talk to people, and reminisce.[/sp]

If you ever have that issue again try ctrl+shift+escape and if you can get task mangler to come up crash explorer.exe and then click file->new task and type in explorer.exe. I've had a similar issue in the past and that helped at least get past it black screening.

just be there for your friend. if you weren't super close with her grandmother personally nobody will expect you to cry.
