Im the same mate, im currently 17; been doing photography as a sort of freelance thing for half a year now. I guess it has "sort of" worked out for me, But I dont want to get into the mindset where it is too hard to get into as I have put too much effort into this field.
I dont exactly know what field of photography I want to get into, hence why I keep all of my work as a mixture of literally everything. I have done Gaming LAN events (I met facepunch's Luaduck at one of them out of nowhere :v: ), Weddings, Conservative Party Visits, Political Debates, Gigs, Store Openings and a over 50's show.
I think that, Because im still 17 its a little bit harder, but the more I opt myself into, the more I'll be noticed by a large range of people.
After doing my first wedding shoot a few weeks back, I noticed that my page had 1.000 more visits then previously, the more you get out there the better I guess, but for some people the extra effort doesnt work out for them as some hope to gain a craft to earn money straight away which is fair enough
I mean, Im pretty lucky to still be at my age and living at home without paying a dime for anything; whereas some of my friends are pushed out at this age to get jobs and start up a way of earning. Whereas I respect my parents for letting me still live at home and gain a reputation through my work if that makes sense? So eventually I'll leave home and actually have something on my back to carry with me throughout life
I dont know, I might be a little dreamer at the moment and maybe this takes me nowhere? but I like to have those thoughts in my head at the moment to keep me going

Well... Over 8 hours to be accurate.

Never ended up finding the sucker, but the car eventually got total'd in a massive hailstorm we had so it was a long time coming anyway lol
