Every year, nearly 4 million cats are eaten in Asia.
The leading cause of domestic reptile death during the winter is suffocation. This is because reptiles, like other animals, hibernate during the winter. But as insectivores, they don't garner as much energy before going to sleep. So like other animals, they slow down their breathing and heart rate. What's the catch with reptiles, though. Well, when reptiles slow down their breathing, they slow down to a point were they are hardly breathing at all, leading many amateur pet owners to believe their good friend has passed on. This will lead to either being thrown in the garbage, or, more commonly, buried in the yard, were they suffocate due to lack of oxygen.
Everytime we flush the toilette millions of bacteria from our fecies get released into the air and stick to anything within ca a 2 metre range, like toothbrushes, towels etc. Yum. And the saying that the brain shows us as 5times more beautiful than we actually are isn't true. Techbically you can say that we see ourselves as 20% less beautiful than we are, and that others see us as we actually are.
It's an actual fact that if you die while fecal matter is at least in your large intestine, you will void your boules. It's not a rumor. If your shit is within a certain stage of digestive process, or within 4 hours of you having to "go", and you die, you will crap your pants. A lesser known fact about death, but I guess if you find a dead guy, your first reaction won't be to wipe his ass.
It's very common for people to piss themselves when they have a heart-attack (deadly/seriously damaging one)
50 years ago, at the height of the Cuban Missile Crisis, second-in-command Vasilli Arkhipov of the Soviet submarine B-59 refused to agree with his Captain's order to launch nuclear torpedos against US warships and setting off what might well have been a terminal superpower nuclear war. The US had been dropping depth charges near the submarine in an attempt to force it to surface, unaware it was carrying nuclear arms. The Soviet officers, who had lost radio contact with Moscow, concluded that World War 3 had begun, and 2 of the officers agreed to 'blast the warships out of the water'. Arkhipov refused to agree - unanimous consent of 3 officers was required His story is finally being told - the BBC is airing a documentary on it. Raise a glass to Vasilli Arkhipov - the Man Who Saved the World.
