HALF-LIFE
Really, the first half-life.
I'm not kidding.
That game is AWSOME.
If you don't have a laptop or a handheld game system, grab a bud or two. Otherwise just reminisce with your friends about random shit that happened. But 6 hours aren't horrible. I'm going on a road trip to Chicago which will be 8ish in June.
6 hour gameboy session
Ask if you can drive, keeps me entertained if i am the guy driving.
Ive been playing Half-Life on my netbook lately and since I'm going on a 5hr trip tomorrow I'll be playing that.

You don't have HL1 installed.
Movies, but for the love of your battery life rip them to the hard drive first.
If you don't know how to, Google Handbreak.
Oh and emulators, specifically snes9x and Chrono Trigger if you haven't played it.
Bring a corded Xbox controller too.
Get the Professor Layton games on DS, I found them very entertaining and time consuming. You could also get a few games for your netbook/laptop like tower defense, strategy, tycoons, or racing.
You might also want to look through YoYoGames, which is a site that has games made by people in Game Maker. http://www.yoyogames.com/

About the ROMs and emulators...
Here's a site my friend showed me for emulators: http://coolrom.com
DS Game suggestions:
-Scribblenauts (puzzle and very addicting)
-GTA: Chinatown Wars (borrowed my friends and it was good)
-Professor Layton and the Curious Village
-Professor Layon and the Diabolical Box
-Super Mario Bros 64 DS
-Mario Kart DS
-Metroid Prime: Hunters
Hope this list helps you with your travels.
I'm spending 11 hours (not including stops) each way on a bus with 49 other kids in about 2.5 weeks, 100 of us total over two buses, I'll be back here to find some ideas when the dreaded day comes v.v
Congratulations, whoever said play Pokemon and GTA:CW. That's what I did most of the time. What kinda name is BIDOOF? Just saying it out loud makes me giggle uncontrollably...
You can break your two bottom ribs so you can suck your self off while you ride in the car that would be pretty cool/hot
