I don't know. I think I kicked something, it's been broken for a couple days. It's still connected properly in the center so when something hits it it hurts pretty bad, and I need to cut it so it'll heal.
A pair of pliers and a wooden spoon will fix that right up.

You should probably wait another day or so, so it can start coming off on its own. That way you won't have to worry about tearing off any flesh along with the nail.
