I always go directly to my wikipedia article from the address bar as I've memorized the URL scheme (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/whateveryouwannalearnabout) so no biggie for me to type differently

takes two clicks for me with noscript :v:
apparently windows 7 automatically puts jpg compression on a desktop background, even if it's a png
for some reason it doesn't compress it at all if you open up the image in firefox, right click, and set it as your background
I just use DisplayFusion. Doesn't seem to compress them for me.

a footballer's earnings are made entirely through voluntary transactions. if you don't want a football player to get paid don't hand your money over for their services. whereas we are literally [I]forced[/I] to hand our money over to help fund armies to wage wars violating every principle of non-violence that even exists.
if you're in the army you're literally accepting money that was [I]stolen[/I] from our purses so you can point your gun at someone who's supposedly violating some kind of moral principle. how could that even be any more hypocritical? i'm literally being forced to hand over my money (because if I don't pay my taxes I go to jail) just so my government can wage wars for causes I don't even believe in.

a footballer's wages are entirely funded by voluntary transactions. they are paid such enormous amounts because society by-and-large feels they enjoy the service they provide to the point they're willing to part with so much money. nobody forces them to pay that money and if they feel it is such an injustice that their wages are so huge, they are fully at liberty to [I]not give them their money.[/I]
a soldier's wages, however, are funded entirely through taxation. as we all know, if you don't pay your taxes you are thrown in jail. so money is literally stolen from our purses to pay for wars to be waged in places most people aren't even aware of and lay waste to unfortunate family's livelihoods and effect them for generations. i'm being [I]forced[/I] to hand over money to pay for the men and women who are literally guns for hire or hitmen.
I don't value a footballer's services, so I don't pay for them and they receive none of my money.
I don't value a soldier's services, but if I don't pay them I get brutalised and condemned as a criminal.

These things pop up all the time and it instils people who have relatives in the military to have a sense of superiority. It also encourages blind patriotism and nationalism over an unnecessary war.
They're also comparing a private company to a public funded service.
