the truth is, if given the choice I definitely wouldn't fund the waging of wars. I have a certain kind of respect for soldiers but I definitely wouldn't support them with the fruits of my labour because it's simply not a worthy cause.
but my personal hypothetical refusal to pay for the waging of wars isn't what my argument is really about. what I'm fundamentally opposed to is the theft of my labour for any cause, whether it's for my own good or not. if I deem something as being for my own good, I'll gladly work towards it, thanks. I'm also a very compassionate guy and I'd gladly donate my labour to other people's ends (which I and millions of others already do on a voluntary basis even in the current system).
I thought you were a socialist? You're starting to sound like an anarchocapitalist.

I'd identify most readily with voluntarist, since I've recently realised that the conditions required for state coercion to be legitimate are so extensive, that when they're finally met, the state isn't even required to coerce you. But yeah I'm not really sure exactly what it does or doesn't make me, but I believe in the non-aggression principle and civil society functioning through consent and mutual gain, rather than... someone insisting something is good for you even though you disagree.

I'm not really sure what anarchocapitalism is if I'm honest.
A neighbor's house caught fire, then like thirty people swarmed in to watch. kind of odd
I made a shirt
That's what happens when there's a fire usually
oh, apparently original appropriation is a central concept of anarchocapitalism. in which case I'm definitely not an anarchocapitalist. I subscribe to the concept of property is theft.
If someone is arrested for some crime, their identity shouldn't be revealed until they're found guilty. Furthermore, they should be considered innocent until proven guilty. Then, the only people who should see the trial are those involved in the crime. Look at Casey Anthony. She was found innocent, but that will hang over her head forever. It'll be hard for her to get a job, make friends, move on from her family tragedy, or live her life at all. It was destroyed although she was acquitted.
Just my opinion, though.

totally disagree. it's not good for anything except theft. trying to argue that putting a picket fence around a piece of land makes it legitimately yours is just silly on so many levels.
Harry Brown is a good film.
Why is Battlefield so damn fun? I mean, I don't think I've ever had a bad time playing BF:BC2 or 2142. It'd be even better if some of you dudes joined me too.

I'd play BC2 but I need to reinstall it and my internet connection is crap due to this blizzard.
BF3 is amazing but jesus I wish my computer didn't blow so much
My rig is pretty good and didn't cost too much, but damn BF:BC2 runs pretty smooth online. I don't think BF3 would even last beyond the introduction if I tried running it :v:

If you or anyone else wants to play a few rounds of conquest, I'm Taulle on BC2.
I was watching the terrible movie piranha and I noticed modern horror movies try to get peoples attention with extreme gore, but most are usually ignored, while a movie like jaws, which isn't that bloody by comparison, was a huge it.
I think this shows that viewers will still respond more to a well made movie than just gimmicks.

Built? No. Exchanged parts at the most.

Me sharing a Kickstarter project. Check it out. Don't fund it, or fund it, I'm not your mother.
Watching Breaking Bad. Best TV show ever IMO. I highly recommend it.

Kinda surprised. Oh well. Sure you've heard the pro-build-your-own-crowd a thousand times before so I won't bother.
Any opinions on BitCoins before I start trying to procure some?
enjoy buying drugs and see pee
There's no moral order as pure as this storm. There's no moral order at all. There's just this: Can my violence conquer yours?

If only Darkness 1 had co-op, then it would've actually been fun.
I liked the darkness 1 overall, but it would have been more fun if it had co-op
Don't you hate it when someone tries really hard just to sound interesting? Or says things that are just begging for attention, but when you ask about it they just say "Oh, it's a long story..." or "It's personal..."?
My opinion on that is a really personal, long story.
I should cut you.
