Well there are ways to run a 'hybrid PhysX' setup. You essentially end up with a primary AMD card to handling all of the rendering, and a dedicated NVIDIA card for PhysX calculations. AMD does have support for OpenCL related programming, which does support GPU accelerated physics. Although that's not really worth mentioning.
Although PhysX shouldn't be a major selling point anyway unless you're playing quite a few games that have PhysX support. Not to mention certain games with PhysX support just kind of have it tacked on as an afterthought. But either way I just go with whatever manufacturer will me the best bang for my buck. That just happened to be ATI for my past two cards (4870/5870), although nearly all of my previous cards were NVIDIA.
I still have yet to really start looking, but thanks for the tips.
oh fuck yeah, I got geromy

Okay, building question:
Water cooling vs. Air (fan) cooling.
Give pros and cons of each.

Hell, make a 500 word essay of it too. :v:

Water
Pros- A lot colder and cooler looking
Cons- if it breaks, all of your shit is burnt toast
Air
Pros- Reliable and cheap
Cons- Uhh
[sp]IMO[/sp]
water cooling: sure, good cooling, BUT, expensive and why the fuck should you use it when theres a cheaper option and works just as good, and have the potential of it actually breaking (the odds of it breaking are probably slim, but i aint taking the risk)
fan cooling: cheap and works wonderful
Seems like everyone is having trouble sleeping. I haven't been able to sleep due to RLS. Sandman should get off his ass and do something.
Dudes I'm having trouble sleeping too I didn't fall asleep until 6:30am

Also what is the likelihood of water cooling breaking?

Not likely, but I'm not one to trust water near hardware.

Yeah, that's my problem with it too. However I hear it's quieter and keeps cooler...
[editline]20th January 2012[/editline]
And you said it was colder too.
Course my new avatar wouldn't work :/
Can't be assed to fix it right now.
