Current is fan cooled;
One on CPU
One on GPU
One on PSU
It's really quiet. Can't even hear it through my noise canceling headset :v:

That started out as a prebuilt Acer though. Got a bit of work done to it.
Hell, that could be why it's so weird now. Maybe prebuilts weren't made to have a lot of changes...
[editline]20th January 2012[/editline]
What the hell am I doing? My laptop is gonna die in 19 minutes and I need to do math homework stuff on it.
Just...as soon...as I get up...and get the calculator and cord.
[editline]20th January 2012[/editline]
:downs: Feels good laying here, man.
Woah, now it's got 26 minutes. Cool, thanks, lappy.
just smoked a lot of weed, first time in 7 months and i am flucking blitzed right now
I don't know how those UNATCO guys got any work done with this playing nonstop around them in their HQ.

Aww, I was hoping I'd be able to upgrade my computer before The Darkness II came out. I'm not sure if i could run it. Oh well, I'll get it for Xbox. At least that way i could play multiplayer with my friends.
[editline]20th January 2012[/editline]
There's also a demo for it on Xbox, not sure if I like the new art style, but it feels like the first one and that's good enough for me.
Well, the new avatar works. A bit slow, but better than nothing :/
[QUOTE=Zedicus Mann;34312262]Okay, building question:
Water cooling vs. Air (fan) cooling.
Give pros and cons of each.
[editline]20th January 2012[/editline]
Hell, make a 500 word essay of it too. :v:[/QUOTE]
just go with air cooling. water cooling is not worth it in most cases. don't bother with those closed-loop coolers either. pick up a decent air cooler like the CM hyper 212+ or a noctua alternative.
going bowling in like an hour oh ye
Okay, guys. I decided to stop filling this thread with my building questions, although it is what I am thinking...

[QUOTE=PotatoArmada;34303125]I always hear people bickering over amd and nvidia graphics cards. Is there really any reason to hate one over the other?[/QUOTE]
Late reply, but the main thing that WOULD draw me to ATI, even though it's shit on Linux, is its Eyefinity support: three monitors on one graphics card.
I decided, though, it's the next logical step to invest in dual graphics cards anyway, so I'll have two nVidia cards.
AMD is pretty nice on cost...
Oh yeah, I'll buy an AMD bulldozer CPU, from what I hear it's quite competitive on Linux. I'll just have nVidia cards, though.
New question: Why not fill your watercooler system (which I'm not getting) with mineral oil instead of water? It doesn't conduct electricity. In fact they've submerged computers in the shit, and haven't had any problems.

My GTX460 supports 3 monitors. One has to be on that displayport plug or whatever it's called though.
Has anyone ever angered you to the point where you felt an insane craving for cigarettes? I'm feeling that right now.
[QUOTE=l33tkill;34316751]Speaking of cigarettes...Cigar time![/QUOTE]
Great moral support, right here.

Nope, I've had people anger me to the point where I felt an intense craving to smash their head in with a sledgehammer though. That's not bad is it?
Bowling is fun, I should bowl for often.
On another note I think I was being hit on by a couple of older chicks outside of the bowling alley.
bowling is a lot of fun
[editline]20th January 2012[/editline]
although the last time i bowled was 2 semesters ago when i was able to take that for a PE course
it was pretty good though, i more or less averaged 160 over the semester
What is the user below me thinking?
A correctly operating R/C helicopter is actually rather fun to fly. I wish I had tried this earlier.
Choosing parts of a PC to build is pretty fun. I'm glad I decided to do this. Hey, maybe some girls will hit on me once my PC is crazy powerful...
[editline]21st January 2012[/editline]
Older girls especially. :downs:
My dual nVidia GTX 560 TIs and AMD 6-core will get literally all the bitches

I'm getting a single 560 TI and an AMD 6-core myself.
Aww yeah brofist!
[QUOTE=Elecbullet;34319264]Aww yeah brofist![/QUOTE]
Maybe we should play some multiplayer games once mine is built.
Return brofist!

What is your overall budget for this machine?
well actually if I do do it it'll be in March after my birthday, and I might just keep my current, old build and get a laptop instead.
[QUOTE=Zorlok;34319336]What is your overall budget for this machine?[/QUOTE] It's gonna cost around $1000.
