I don't even use CCC now. I just download the driver package and install it through the device manager. CCC had some decent options, but it just caused more trouble than it was worth (IMO). Now I just use MSI AfterBurner to handle fan speed / overclocking.
I had trouble with shitty HDTV overscan settings putting an inch of black around the edge of my screen, although it was at 1080p.
So I had to have the CCC.

I just had trouble with CCC not actually switching my card's clock speed's from 2D to 3D mode. So at certain times I would just have horribly low framerates, or stuttering issues. Ever since I ditched CCC those issues have disappeared.

Not right now. I used to run dual 20" monitors back when CRTs were the norm. But for now a single 23" 1080p monitor is sufficient.

Pretty much. One mid-size to large monitor is what I prefer for gaming. But I will eventually pick up another monitor for general productivity purposes.
