go hurry up or you will die
Fuck holding off I want my SSD now 60 gigabytes Windows 7. 10 gigabytes for each of six Linux distributions Shit will be so cash
Nope.
Great, I've got Professional Speech this semester, a.k.a., the worst possible class I could take. Even Video Tech was less stressful than this.
I need to go buy more spray paint.
Fuck holding off I want my SSD now 60 gigabytes Windows 7. 10 gigabytes for each of six Linux distributions Shit will be so cash
That seems like it'd be a bit of a waste of the space to be honest. Stretching it a bit thin too. A SSD would be better for gaming and Windows, I don't think Linux would really have too much benefit from it really.
I really, really use Linux for virtually everything these days so Windows isn't all that much of a concern to me anyway. Besides I can revise that later, for now I'd like suggestions on what to get. Current interest: Kingston 120GB. Sata3. Remember I have a rough budget of $200. [editline]3rd January 2012[/editline] I'm in a hotel right now, so I don't want to do much looking myself right now. I'm not buying it til I get home anyway, which will be Thursday.
Woot! 2/7 of my CDs have arrived!

Have you ever extensively used it?
Besides, what do you know about Linux anyway? Have you ever extensively used it?
No, I haven't. But I do know it's a lot less resource intensive than Windows so you wouldn't get nearly as much of an advantage from having Linux running off a SSD than you would Windows.
I wish my bank would adjust their maintenance schedules. It's like dealing with Valve taking the Steam servers offline during peak hours to make some adjustments.
I do know that it is less resource intensive, yes. But it's gonna be my primary OS, I'll rarely be gaming (the only thing I'd use Windows for), and ideally if I get an nVidia card I could play a lot of games on Linux anyway, so I just feel like it'd be better to devote more of my HDD to it. Eh, what am I kidding, maybe I'll downgrade it to four Linux partitions. Hell I could probably squeeze each one onto 5 gigabytes instead of ten!
I wish my bank would adjust their maintenance schedules. It's like dealing with Valve taking the Steam servers offline during peak hours to make some adjustments.
My bank only has to do maintenance once a week. Sunday night at like 11 PM.
28 hours as a Host (7.25/hr) + 14 hours as a Buser (2.13/hr) = Somewhere around $200 (give or take $15) paycheck. Not bad. Also, I suck at DotA. Unless I play as Clockwerk. Then I only am better by a slight bit.
Geez, as soon as we capture Dhirim and effectively wipe out the Swadian Kingdom save for a few castles, we're at war with the Sarranid Sultanate. As soon as they capture Dhirim because we haven't been able to get a Count situated there yet and don't have a proper garrison set up, we're at war with the Nords. I'm just getting as many groups as I can to capture key areas to keep the enemies as far away as possible. At the moment, Dhirim and the surrounding area is switching between Nord, Sarranid, and Rhodok control and all of the towns have been looted, the Sarranids are attempting to capture the couple of castles at our south, and it seems that the Khanate is at war with both the Sarranids and the Nords, so they're pretty much just coming in and defending our land. Whether that's because of the common enemy or because they're just trying to move in, I don't know, but pretty soon we're gonna either have to move the front to the south or the north and leave the middle ground of Dhirim to whatever may come. A city with warring factions at all cardinal directions isn't worth fighting for until the wars die down. Goddamn, this game just doesn't let up. And it's great.
My bank only has to do maintenance once a week. Sunday night at like 11 PM.
Mine will usually do it once per week...but it's never a scheduled thing. They always seem to do it whenever I want to check my account.
red bull makes me feel shitty after drinking it. I've been feeling like throwing up for a couple of hours now.
I can't drink that crap anyway. Energy drinks have never sat well with me.
red bull makes me feel shitty after drinking it. I've been feeling like throwing up for a couple of hours now.
Maybe you should stop drinking them then?
I don't drink them often but I had a 24 oz can a few hours ago and i feel like utter shit
it's nice to actually max out GTA IV and maintain a near perfect framerate all of the time
I've missed this thread... I remember being the original WAYT crew, with the thread drama and shit. Anyway, who wants a Tribes: Ascend closed beta key? I don't want it, I'm not interested. PM me.
Besides, what do you know about Linux anyway? Have you ever extensively used it?
I apologize if I came off as a Linux elitist dickhead idiot in this post. Ehh. Maybe I'll convince Mom to buy me a Chromebook or something. I might get an SSD later.
I've missed this thread... I remember being the original WAYT crew, with the thread drama and shit.
the original threads didn't really have drama, that shit pretty much didn't start until hardcorerape came in
I'm not buying my college books until I know I need them. Not going to dish out money on textbooks and find out I don't need them.
I'm not buying my college books until I know I need them. Not going to dish out money on textbooks and find out I don't need them.
That's always the best course of action.
That's always the best course of action.
Yeah, I had rented my English book and we only used it about 2 times. My friend had the previous edition and the only difference was an update in the MLA section so it was "outdated for class use". We very rarely used it and I would have been better off mooching off another book during class. Plus, I can find all I need to know about MLA online.
E-book versions are also nice, if they're available.
Edit: I think I misunderstood what the issue was. There was a post here. It's gone now.
Portal 2 is pretty fun, it's a brain-bender at times, but it's quite enjoyable. I am stumped on one part though, and it isn't even a puzzle. [sp]When you enter that huge area where you first hear Cave Johnson's voice played over the speaker system, and you find that the elevator is out of order. I just can't find a way through.[/sp]
