Well, considering I am deployed to a country and confined to a base that is rather small with no-one else here but other Soldiers and personnel from other countries, where I will do nothing but fix helicopters for most of the day then go eat then go back to my tiny room or hang out at the MWR with (you guessed it) other Soldiers and maybe an Airman or two, where I can't exactly walk out the gate to go hang out with my friends back in the United States an ocean apart and do other things I enjoy like flying or riding my motorcycle everywhere as well as being able to wear civilian clothes and have fun, then you can pretty much say that, yes, the Army literally is the only thing in my life right now.

No, I am currently putting together a warrant officer packet so I can fly them. If I remained a crew chief, I might want to reclass as a blackhawk guy, but I love the cav too much to do that.

So here is my honest opinion, and after this I am not going to reply as I don't want to take this thread too off topic... But to be honest it seems like you're on a mission here to try and make facepunchers see that mlp fans can be normal, successful people.

Like I am honestly not trying to be mean, but I see signs of this such as your avatar with the hat, sliding in pony related things and your constant posting about you being in the army in this thread, then asking not to talk about it.

It seems like he posted one picture of him in an MLP shirt and everyone else keeps bringing it up, I don't think he has posted that many posts about it in this thread. I don't get the "Brony" fan base but as long as he is not shoving in peoples face or being creepy about it I don't see what the problem is.
From what I have seen, he posts a picture that has nothing to do with mlp then four or five people bring up that he likes the show in an attempt to pick up funny ratings.

I am not trying to do that at all. I changed my avatar to give credit to an artist who drew that for me free of charge. I constantly post about me being in the Army in this thread because I happen to have nothing else around me BUT the Army, seriously, it gets quite stifling. Also the reason that I kindly ask people not to talk about that stuff is that there are already threads for that discussion up, and I like to avoid derailing threads. This is the Pictures of You thread, not the thread for discussion of all things military, and I try to keep it that way. Also, I really can't help if people repost pictures that I have posted of myself. I take pictures on the spur of the moment, with whatever I have on at the time. I only defend myself, if you notice, in any of the posts that involve me. I apologize if I come off as trying to embark on some crusade, I am not intending to do so in any way.

The issue is, he was perfectly aware of facepunch's disposition against mlp, yet posted the picture wearing a shirt, and with an avatar. Then, after this intial picture, he begins suddenly posting pure military photos.
Doesn't that seem a tiny bit odd? I am fine with him liking mlp, but the issue comes in that he obviously posted to bring to our attention that he was an mlp fan, AND ALSO IN THE ARMY SO IT IS OK AND NOT ALL BRONIES ARE ALIKE I AM SUCCESSFUL GUYS AND I AM HAPPY SEE?
That is my beef with him, and I would have reacted the same way if it had been something else.
In my eyes, it is the exact same thing as the "gamur girl" scenario "yes I am a GIRL [I]and[/I] a GAMER, but please dont talk about it! I shall never get one because I conduct myself with the utmost professionalism when working and follow my orders to the letter. I also do not go around seeking trouble. Dishonorables are only given out if someone is convicted of an actual crime at a courts martial, or you get too many article 15s and are recommended for separation.

If you took the time to read what I posted you will find that I don't intentionally do that at all. I am sorry if the military is literally the biggest part of my life and I can't avoid it no matter how hard I might try. Literally everywhere I go there is a buddy there or some other facet of the military. Now that I am deployed, there are nothing but Soldiers around. I couldn't post something not military if I tried. Also, like I posted earlier, I take pictures no matter what I am wearing at the time. I did not stage a shot of me in my mlp shirt on purpose, I took that picture because all my shit was getting packed up for storage and I wanted to fire one off before they got my computer. I have a laptop now, but that is beside the point. You should probably not try to read in between the lines on this one, as there is nothing to read there.
