ok, i'm smart, so heres what you say
everything in moderation. video games are becoming more common, its in the ninety percent area of kids who play them. obviously they aren't ALL addicted so video games certainly aren't crack. its a matter of the psychological state of kids who do get addicted which is of concern.
anecdotally, i'd say that it's mostly the ones with lower than average social skills. i'd put a lot of addiction to escapist tendencies rather than what they play, the games offer an amazing world when your real life is unsatisfying or just awful. if someone develops behaviour that seems like addiction, it's just a symptom of deeper issues and they probably need some attention. kids [I]are[/I] pretty fucked up these days.
