Absolutely stellar acting in that film.

I've never seen the movie but I read the book and the ending caught me pretty off-guard. At the beginning I sort of expected the book to be pretty dark, but there they are getting closer and closer to their dream and suddenly it's gone.

I genuinely thought it would be Lennie telling everyone about the dream and everyone wanting to come along.
I was saddened.

I hoped George, Lennie, and Crooks would all just go and live happily ever after.... It makes me sad just thinking about it.
Ending only:

Last level:

Full level puts it into perspective just why you should be a bit sad that all those people talking in the ending died. I think this was the first shooter I beat in its entirety.
Important bit is at about 4-6 minutes.
I cried like a little bitch when I watched the ending of Max Payne 2 and I cry at almost nothing in gaming. The credits song "Late Goodbye" just amplified the feels.

The only thing I've ever cried at would have to be the end of Bishock 2. At the end of bioshock infinite I was very close to the brink, but I managed to push back. I MUST BE STRONG

Also while we're at it, from the book flags of our fathers
"I have tried so hard to block this out. To forget it. We could choose a buddy to go in with. My buddy was a guy from Milwaukee. We were pinned down in one area. Someone elsewhere fell injured and I ran to help out, and when I came back my buddy was gone. I couldn’t figure out where he was. I could see all around, but he wasn’t there. And nobody knew where he was.
A few days later someone yelled that they’d found him. They called me over because I was a corpsman. The Japanese had pulled him underground and tortured him. His fingernails... his tongue... It was terrible. I’ve tried hard to forget all this."
Many years later, in researching my father’s life, I asked Cliff Langley, Doc’s co-corpsman, about the discovery of Iggy’s body. Langley told me it looked to him as though Ralph Ignatowski had endured just about every variety of physical cruelty imaginable.
"Both his arms were fractured," Langley said. "They just hung there, there like arms on a broken doll. He had been bayoneted repeatedly. The back of his head had been smashed in."
God the book/movie was amazingly depressing.
wheres the option in bioshock infinite and bioshock 2 to [sp]say fuck you to the girl killing you and fight back[/sp]
sure, [sp]booker IS comstock and the only way to end it is to kill himself, it would've been cool to chill in Paris with elizabeth[/sp]

Delta can't fight back because [sp]he was nearly killed by the explosion. He would've died anyways in the good ending, so Eleanor extracts his blood to have him near in a spiritual sense.[/sp]
There is, however, [sp]a neutral ending where Delta pushes Eleanor's hand away and stares at the lighthouse, giving off the possibility of his survival.[/sp]
Shadow of the colossus' Wanderer.
[sp]You break the forbidden Taboo, go into a land and defeat the giant, all-powerful beings for their souls, just to bring back the one you love. And one you have, you wind up sacrificing your life for her in the end.[/sp]
While the credits reveal otherwise, it really hurt me when [sp]Argo, Wander's trusty horse, fell down into a chasm after just barely managing to take him safely across a collapsing bridge to the final colossus.[/sp]
