Well, I used to go by the name Relic. I've been learning Japanese, and it was much easier to get 'Ibutsu' than 'Relic'. Plus it adds a bit of mystery. ^^

Castlevania 64 had a character named Malus, which is my primary username where possible because I absolutely love that game, character and name, and it's usually like: .malus

Malus is a very common username however, so I had to think of something else. I used Umbre (short for Umbrella obviously, another game reference) as an alternative username.

In order to come up with something unlikely used by anyone else, I combined them to get Malumbrus at first, but for some reason I posted more on this account and Malumbrus was banned.

So, there it is.
