Medal of Honor Allied Assault. I was really into it back in the day. I was blown away by the Omaha mission. Game is gold.
I remember being excited when my dad would let me have the CD that'd come with gaming mags, for all the demos on it. At the time, it felt like to me getting loads of little games for free. The only thing i've really been with throughout the early days would be Half-Life 2, which I got on release. My steam account is a few months younger than HL2, but honestly cannot remember what specifically prompted me to create one.
Unfortunately, Facepunch is the only early thing I've done. I joined the Picture Wars website when it was first created after everyone deserted the Pixel Wars subforum on Facepunch, so I guess I could include it even though I don't go on the site at all. It has about two thousand users, which is pretty respectable. I don't think anyone but the veterans know who I am, though.
don't worry i remember you never participated in pixel wars but i always loved to read them
I remember watching the series premiere of Spongebob. I bought Metroid Prime Trilogy at launch. I owned an original DS and was the only one of my friends who used the silver beauty. Played Minecraft when it was in like beta 1.3 My first FPS was Wolfenstein 3d on DOS when I was 3. Used a huge number if Yugioh cards before they spiked in popularity.
I bought minecraft before the nether update, does that count?
I bought minecraft before the nether update, does that count?
Oh man, reminded me that i bought Minecraft just because you could change skins back then. You only had creative mode and you had to pay like 5 euro's or something to get a premium account which would allow you to change your skin :v:
I played habbo hotel when 4chan used to do those "pool's closed" raids. I had no idea what 4chan was but found it hilarious and joined in.
Half-Life 2 Deathmatch. That game was great when it first came out, I remember back in 04-06 there was a server called the yaypit and you could spawn and build things like in GMod. It was amazing. I have some of their maps I've been thinking about uploading, they had a lot of puzzle maps alongside their construction maps that were pretty fun.
Dude yeah. I remember the yaypit and even the monastery, in fact it's running today by a guy called warrior 7
The Monastery is still running?? That server was the best
I'm surprised nobody here has mentioned Toontown. I played that like crazy when I was a kid.
I remember getting a wii when it was first released, all those days of playing wii sports holy fuck [editline]13th March 2015[/editline]
I'm surprised nobody here has mentioned Toontown. My dad flipped to Digimon during the first week or so that it aired, ended up being the first show we watched together.
