haha what
Super Metroid is great but I think Zero Mission is actually a bit better. It has multiple difficulties with hard mode being surprisingly challenging (Mecha Ridley with 100% completion on hard mode is stupid hard because he becomes twice as hard at 100% completion and hard mode makes upgrades upgrade by half the amount they should) and sequence breaking is a huge challenge because it takes some real trying.
Exact reverse of my favorite Zeldas. :v:
Sadly I never owned a Gameboy Advance (I know, I'm an idiot) so I didn't get to play much of Zero Mission, but what I have played seemed to be very good. Honestly only metroid game I regret trying is Other M. Don't act so surprised hahaha... but seriously it was awful. I'm glad I didn't pay money for it.
Arguing over which Zelda game is the best has got to be one of the most contentious things I've ever seen in my life. I've seen some serious fanboys nearly come to fists over that shit. If you ever want to see some crazy shit, just say "Windwaker is better than Ocarina of Time". All the ZELDA IS MY WAIFU fags get so butthurt if you bash their favourite game ever (Ocarina of Time). As for Twilight Princess vs. Link to the Past, that is a very close battle for me. Twilight Princess wins for me, but not by much. I really wish they hadn't gone ahead with the stupid waggle controls. I mean you get used to it fast enough but it's still annoying.

The Wii version was a port of the Gamecube version with everything flipped to make Link right-handed. If it really frustrates you, try to pick up the Gamecube version and get used to right now being left.

Speaking of Zero Mission and Other M, Fusion allowed you to start on specified difficulty in Japanese releases while us outsiders are left with Normal difficulty 24/7 and no gallery to view our ending photos unless we link to Zero Mission. (Yep, classic regional bonuses like the SNES Satellite or an improved synthesizer for Famicoms, sucks to not be Japanese sometimes)
..As for the latter, my father didn't buy it. Still, I often found it all difficult since you have no clue over what to do during the quicktime events. (But let's not forget Sector 3 where Adam makes zip mention of the Varia Suit,..)

Zero Mission is really good in my opinion. It recaptures a lot of what made Super Metroid a good game for me and even improved on it. I can't even remember what I played of Other M. I just remember I didn't much care for how it felt. I think I came away with the impression I was playing one of the new Ninja Gaiden games.

ALttP only wins out for me simply because I prefer the 2d games over the 3d ones, I'm far worse at the 3d ones. (Also I played TP on the Gamecube so I don't actually know how bad the motion controls were and I did sort of grow up playing ALttP so I may be a bit biased there. :v:)
As for Windwaker and Ocarina I have very unpopular opinions on both that I don't think either is especially impressive past Ocarina being the first 3d Zelda. Twilight Princess is the only 3d one I've played that I actually like. (Not counting ones with 3d graphics but which play as 2d ones like Phantom Hourglass. Haven't played Skyward Sword either so I can't form an opinion there.)
Went shopping earlier today. Picked up a cord I needed and checked out some of the SNES games.
They have a ton of sports games. But I did see some mentioned in this thread, like Mario Paint (even came with a mouse) and Donkey Kong Country. There was a few more, but I didn't get anything yet because I don't quite have the money to be buying games yet.
I also put an application in to that specific store too, so maybe I'll get hired there :v:

I would really like to pick up Final Fantasy and other RPGs, but I didn't see anything there that was listed in this thread.

Skyward Sword is, for the most part, a pretty good game. It's one of the few games where the Wii's motion controls do actually add something to the game (the direction of your slashes does actually make a difference). Skyward Sword is also the origin story of how the whole Legend of Zelda is even a thing, and on that front is actually really interesting.
That said, it has some extremely annoying sequences that will make you pull your hair out...

In the SNES days, RPGs were a minority niche. They didn't have anywhere near the following they have today and as a result a lot of them only saw a single print.
Going to have to throw my vote to Super Castlevania IV too. It's really fantastic, and the soundtrack is one of the best.
(Since Simon's Theme and Bloody Tears have already been posted, let's go with one of the game's original songs.)

I managed to buy Super Ghouls N' Ghosts, Goof Troop, and Kirby Super Star. They had a buy two get one free thing going on.

Bible Games, too. It also exists for DOS! (Looks like an unofficial Mac Family version, except it's only got a "Third Encounter" with 6 missions)
Super Ghouls N' Ghosts is so fucking fun holy shit

I might record a small let's play of it because this is my first time playing it :v:
