So today a person who could've been treated for their problems is lying in intensive care more dead than alive because our pharmacy happened to be out of the drug they needed to help them with, and by the time they managed to source it from someplace else, we had no alternative except to retain them in the ICU. Guess who had the unpleasant job of having to deliver this news to the patient's relatives.
When shit like this happens you feel like you have nowhere to turn to, even though it was purely due to chance.
