I am unhappy and sad that 'fat activism' somehow became a thing unless you have actual health problems dont go around trumpeting nonsense that 'being fat runs in my family' the day alcoholics start doing the same thing is the day I quit my day job

I've always been wary of drinking because of my Dad's latent alcoholism that's given him issues for the past 20 years so [editline]22nd May 2016[/editline] this is assuming you're talking about the whole "being fat runs in my family thing"

I think ill probably still stay away from the bottle for the rest of my life, I can live without it and there's no good reason for me to start really

Other factors were how everything is/was so tasty and how easy to get and inexpensive unhealthy stuff was. The whole "fat activism" thing is insulting to me. To me it looks like people trying to get attention and/or praise for giving up and/or not trying.

When I was talking about fat activism and mentioned that I hoped I would never see alcoholics complaining in the same way when told their habit was life threatening, I mean it hasn't actively become a movement yet like fat activism has. It's more individualized and people resist it, especially after they drink so often they start hallucinating and going into withdrawal after they go past a certain stage of their addiction. One of my uncles nearly died of alcohol withdrawal after they told him to lay off the sauce.
I really dont like the drinking culture in the us, so many people are so antsy to start drinking young and every time you watch tv theres gonna be at least one or two ads glorifying it heavy
Problem is despite education to the contrary there are so many people who get addicted to smoking or drinking over time, especially those who find it a way to forget their troubles. When we have examples like when Philip Morris sued the australian government when they were told to comply with plain packaging laws, that are mandatory for tobacco products there, despite the fact they lost that case, you can see big tobacco and alcohol won't go down without a fight. Honestly alcoholism and the like will always remain a problem, because of the addiction issue. The problems caused thereby might go down bit by bit over time, but it's not going to ever be possible to legislate away the issues they cause. Moderation is important, but you can't ever stop persons from throwing caution to the winds, nor can you find good self-control in all people.
It hurts me to watch phone plans for other countries My finnish contract is 19.90€ a month for unlimited 50Mbps 4G, with 200 minutes of phone calls and 200 text messages. This prepaid I've had in Austria for the past 10 weeks has felt like an arm was chopped off, 4GB a month is too little for me

I never liked them blue people.
Inside we're all mini-mods, screeching towards the real mods' general direction when someone breaks the rules good morning

Roughly on schedule, its supposed to hit the mid to upper 80's later in the week. I've got a "fun" day of cleaning air conditioners coming up. On the bright side they are already set up in their respective windows, so we don't have to worry about that. I've also said this before, but living with someone who gets acid indigestion easily sucks. I like to keep a can of instant iced tea on hand during the summer. I can't because my brother's acid acts up due to the artificial lemon and he is convinced that I'd turn it into syrup and main line it or something.

we are NOT doing this again
