well, thousands upon thousands of people on the same page or at least trying to access the same page at the same time is gonna overload the server. It's literally something that happens in every game's launch

I let my mom try The Sims once. I set her up with an average house and cheated some money in and let her play. I come back an hour later and the kitchen was on fire, dirty dishes were everywhere, etc. Her people were fine though as she had made a small enclosed fence area and filled it with balloons, birthday cakes, llamas and a stereo.
