Go to public school! The chance of getting laid increases by almost 20 times!
No it doesn't. That is unless he can't leave the house much. [editline]11:30PM[/editline] Go to public school though. Good experience.
Do you want to play games or have "real" friends that will back stab you eventually? Tough choice.
That is the dumbest thing I've read in a while but it's sad because you sound like you have no friends :c
Yes if you want to be social and make friends, and if they ask you where you are from, just say you went to another school, or you're pretty much going to be thought of as that creepy kid or some title like that
Yes and no, really. Yes, because you will meet new people. No, because 90% of them will be douche-bags.
People are actually nice, they're only douchebags if you're an anti social fuck who's into pissing or something.
NO IT WILL RUIN YOUR FUCKING LIFE DON'T FUCKING DO IT/caps
You're going to take advice from people on facepunch for a life changing event? Really? The Same facepunch where some users believe that the Imperial is actually more consistent over the metric system? The same facepunch that has users voluntarily posting in a thread that says they will get banned if they post in it and they complain afterward to be unbanned? TURN OFF THE COMPUTER, GO OUTSIDE, MAKE SOME FRIENDS, TALK TO THEM ABOUT IT.
I say do it, I've been homeschooled (cyberschooled more acurately) most of my education and it's boring, and I'm easily distracted by something other then class and my grades suffer cause of this.
home schooled kids are usually pretty socially retarded you'll be missing out on a lot if you choose not to go to a public school. it's just one of those experiences you need to go through in life. i'd be so bored if i had to stay at home all the time while everyone else is at school.
Public school is great, you'll meet tons of other people, and start to actually like your spare time. Of course, some will be awful, but some will be great too, and dealing with the awful stuff will help you get through life.
Being homeschooled is really fucking boring. Wake up at 11 o'clock, go grab my school books. Work for the 3 hours it takes to finish, turn on xbox. Sit there all day. At least when if I go to public school, I'll do something other than sit at home listening to my family ramble away all day. Plus I might have a few friends if I did. But what do you think FP?
Yes. Do it. You will meet some REAL life friends and not be a little creeper at home havng no social life what so ever
lol @ the number of homeschooled kids on facepunch
I'm facing the same decision. I've decided to try public school. My mom probably needs a break from my constant presence, anyway. I know I would. Anyway, good luck with whatever you choose.
I doubt you would be able to last being home schooled and all.
I used to be homeschooled, it sucks because you can't make new friends unless you go outside.
Public School. Even though it sucks ass, go there to make friends.
My vote goes to public school. Meet new people, find a good group of friends, and just socialize. It makes you less of a social retard when you get out into the real world because you know how to converse with people, as opposed to being the quiet guy in the back who just does his work and doesn't get paid attention to. But, conversely, public school sometimes has those shit teachers that you can't help but hate, and you'll usually (unless you're in the higher level courses) find those apathetic kids who will just stare at their desk the whole class brooding over being in school. Just don't associate with them, and you'll be good. Funny, because I'm entering public school tomorrow after a year at an all-boys Catholic. I think the education I got there actually inhibited me. Spent a year learning about Christianity and Jesus, and I'm deist. Oh well.
Spent a year learning about Christianity and Jesus, and I'm deist. Oh well.
Oh shit! I never thought about this, if the the school in my town has religion as a required class, I won't be going. Not because I'm like "LOL IMA ATHEIST BECAUSE I WANNA BE COOL", I'm just seriously atheist, and I'm not gonna have stupid religion pushed on me. I'll have to check that out.

Spent a good month on that lesson. My step-dad and I used to joke around that it's where babies came from. But anyway, if it's a requirement, fuck that. Granted, I went to a Catholic school, but I don't think kids in public school should be pushed into Christian indoctrination.
why would anyone want to be or their child to be home schooled
Depends. Where do you live. If you live in East L.A., DOO EEET Otherwise, meh.
Yeah, might aswell. It'll help you be more social etc.
Im 2 Cool 4 School
Im 2 Cool 4 School
Way "2" read the thread. [editline]02:41PM[/editline] OP should go to public school. I'd personally say I'd rather be home schooled, but as I remember, after the summer, I was so fucking lonely it was driving me nuts, and I didn't know anyone anyway so I was pretty much fucking stranded at home. The gaming was nice, but school was refreshing. All in all, both have their benefits, but I'd personally wish I could have experienced both.
why would anyone want to be or their child to be home schooled
Because they disagree with the school system
Go to public school for one day and touch yourself continually. Then leave.
Go to public school for one day and touch yourself continually. Then leave.
Wait, touch myself before or after I leave for the day?
Go to public school. If nothing else it'll give you a bit of character and some mates. You might get your cunt kicked in a few times but it's worth it so you don't go through life being a nobody.
Public school isn't that bad, my school's a pretty good school but before I went to this school, I went to crappy schools full of people that were going to turn into thugs and do nothing but make life bad for everybody else when they get out of school, just keep your head down till you know what the school is like. Meeting new people is always a good thing.
Goto public school! I have a good friend who was home schooled, did all AP courses and shit, got in his head that he was better than public schooled kids and didnt need college or any post-high school education, and now he is basically a bum... Not saying this will happen to you but going to school and interacting with people is good for you. JUST FUCKING DO IT. DON'T THINK JUST FUCKING DO.
I say get your advice from somewhere, anywhere else but here.
