Be prepared to be called gay for anything/everything you do that isn't completely normal
i know getting to wake up at 11 and only working for 3 hours, sucks man. I'm not being sarcastic i'm home schooled too and it sucks im going to go back to public when this year is over
Be prepared to be called gay for anything/everything you do that isn't completely normal
I go on the internet, you think I'm not used to that already? I'll have to get used to not going on a rant about how calling someone a sexual orientation isn't an insult, though.
Being homeschooled is really fucking boring. Wake up at 11 o'clock, go grab my school books. Work for the 3 hours it takes to finish, turn on xbox. Sit there all day. At least when if I go to public school, I'll do something other than sit at home listening to my family ramble away all day. Plus I might have a few friends if I did. But what do you think FP?
i would kill to have that kind of school day I meant public school, not being homeschooled
Tried that, they're all sheltered creepers.
Good, you'll fit in.
Go to a public school, make some friends.
This.
Only go to public if you aren't in a ghetto community. If not, I love public school. Friends make the experience. Make sure you can talk about other things besides video games though
God dammit, I envy you spoiled home school kids. I wish I had that much free time :Dawkins102:
Oh shit! I never thought about this, if the the school in my town has religion as a required class, I won't be going. Not because I'm like "LOL IMA ATHEIST BECAUSE I WANNA BE COOL", I'm just seriously atheist, and I'm not gonna have stupid religion pushed on me. I'll have to check that out.
Learning about religion isn't wrong though, it's certainly important for at least understanding bits of history.
Learning about religion isn't wrong though, it's certainly important for at least understanding bits of history.
I know the essentials, and I never stated it was wrong. Though I am strongly atheist, so I choose not to have it forced upon me.
Yes and no, really. Yes, because you will meet new people. No, because 90% of them will be douche-bags.
Why do people steal my avatars? :sigh:
Why do people steal my avatars? :sigh:
Because they're p. cool and you should be proud that people like them and would steal them for their own use.
I know the essentials, and I never stated it was wrong. Though I am strongly atheist, so I choose not to have it forced upon me.
That just seems like a thing to say "FUCK THIS" over though.
Learning about religion isn't wrong though, it's certainly important for at least understanding bits of history.
That's the way I took my Old Testament course freshman year. I looked at it from a historical perspective, and it was interesting. But once you hit the New Testament, it's more parables a moral stories than anything. Mainly the Synoptic Gospels are paid attention to, and that's really it. I saw my Christ/Sacraments course as dull, uninteresting, and frankly, unimportant to me. There wasn't any historical value I got from it.

Making fun of boring classes with friends is always cool.
If you aren't a whiny brat and you don't have gross habits and you can control your urges you'll do just fine in a public school. I would suggest joining drama as a stage technician, techie, because of the large group of kids who are sheltered and you may get some pretty decent laughs out of the whole thing.
Go to public school. If nothing else it'll give you a bit of character and some mates. You might get your cunt kicked in a few times but it's worth it so you don't go through life being a nobody.
I'm not gonna comment on topic discussed, considering that this is a decision he should make for himself not from a bunch of people on the internet. However, you say don't go through life being a nobody. Are you saying that highschool will make you somebody? Because once you finish high school, no one is gonna give two shits about what you did there.

I know someone at my school who got homeschooled for the first 9 years of her education, she's timid and pretty, well... uninteresting. Going to a public school will help to define you as a person, regardless of whether anyone remembers your actions there or not. It's not about what other people think about what you do at high school, it's about what you do at high school and what it does for you.
Try it for a couple months, you can leave if you don't like it.
I was home schooled for a while, and I must say that those were the most boring, wasted years of my life. It's not like school is great or anything, but it's better than sitting home. At least you learn some stuff, and not only academics. You learn social skills, and make friends, meet a girlfriend, etc...
I went to TaeKwonDo even years back when I was homeschooled, join something like that.
..but you have a son banging mom fetish.
