The tube up top is the buffer tube. The .50 requires such large room, that you sometimes need more room than what the length of pull has to offer, so you make a buffer tube.

That looks really nice, actually. Some minor things though. The fireselector lacks outlines, the white shape covering the shape of the ejection port is not big enough and I would suggest taking a rectangle on the EP and only reveal about 5-8 pixels of the shaded shape.
