I hate video games and video game culture, but love video game development.
I've gotten tired of video games and video game culture, and especially video game development. After over five years of failed projects, I just don't want to program anymore. That's why I'm kind of at loss at what to do now since making video games was all I wanted to do, but now I don't want to. And I had nothing else as a backup hobby/skill.

I enjoy Systems Administration and DevOps stuff a lot, you might like it. Play with Linux, Hypervisors, Containerization, Deployment, Cloud Provisioning. Might strike your fancy.

I only touched programming because of wanting to make video games, and that's all I ever did. I have no experience nor drive to do anything outside of that. Programming is just a skill I've acquired and I don't have any plans to further it anymore.

Not really a confession just something i've always wanted to get off my chest. On the 17th of September 2013 somebody knocked on my door and told me to help them, I went outside and they lead me into a house where a man was on the floor foaming at the mouth, we called an ambulance and i was told to give him chest compressions which was the scariest thing i have ever been asked to do. I felt his ribs crack under the pressure of me doing it which is a feeling that still haunts me to this day but apparently this is common, to make a long story short he died in front of me and i couldn't do anything about it.
Later that night i sat in my room not knowing how to deal with it and realized that GTA 5 was being released that night at a midnight launch so i waited in line for hours in a daze because i didn't know what else to do with myself. So yeah..thats that

I've put hundreds of hours in to several Bethesda games and completed none of them except Fallout 3.
I watched the Ukraine war crimes video in the videos section and saw the brief images of the men who had either been executed or straight up killed by shots to the head. Looked really fucking nasty and I felt pretty sick after that.
even though i love games where you shred through waves of various enemies, sometimes in games and movies i still can get sick from watching a gory scene, though mostly its stuff like torture
