I have my own story of a pet dying from neglect, but it's a little more convoluted.
I was eight when I was given my first entirely-my-own pet. He was a guinea pig named Rascal and we'd brought him home from the neighbor's garage sale. At first he was a rather temperamental animal, but with patience he became very cuddly with me. My parents would even punish me by forbidding me from touching my pig for however many days (probably not fair to Rascal). Occasionally I'd lapse on cleaning his cage on time. My parents would mention it and I'd hop right on it.
One year, my family visited Florida for about a week, and our small pets were left in the care of my grandparents, specifically my grandmother. When we returned, Rascal was dead from dehydration/starvation, and the family rabbit wasn't much better. As it turns out, my mother was deeply in denial that Grandma had Alzheimer's, and this was the incident that finally woke her up to her mother's condition.
my brother went to jail for being a child molester years ago, and so i never tell anyone i actually have a brother. i have a tendency to hate people with a brother and that talk about how great their brother is.
i live with 2 roommates i absolutely hate and if the purge existed, i'd easily cuff them and make them bleed with thousands of toothpicks slowly and painfully.
i have issues but no one to talk to about them...

In my free time, when I'm listening to music and doing other stuff, I think about the characters, their background, the story, the world, etc, sometimes I hear really good songs and imagine cutscenes, like if I wanted to have a mission insipired solely from that specific song. I set up an entire world in my head but never tell people about it because I think that hey will think it's cringeworthy, dumb or crazy talk.
Never dared to write about it. I get scared that someone will find it and mock me for it.
