I can't say she's a bad character at all, I mean she [I]was [/I]very well written and in the terms of Bioshock Infinite's story, her arch was great, but if I am being honest I don't consider her to be very [I]memorable*[/I]. She was believable and likable, but nothing shockingly new. I think its unfair to say she's "nothing special" and in my opinion, wrong. A character doesn't need to be 100% groundbreakingly unique to be special. She wasn't particularly unique- Just very well done which is why I consider her a good character. She's like Alyx Vance, people say she's great, but really she's nothing extraordinary. Just very believable and likable, so her character works out nicely.
I'd say the Luteces are more [I]memorable[/I] for the fact that they're genuinely a bit more interesting and [I]new[/I].
*And to clarify, by memorable I mean unique or genuinely new, as in I can't rightly remember a character quite like it

I'd say for the better. Her first incarnation looked a little goofy, and her second had too much focus on her bewbs for the sake of bewbs.

She was the generic damsel in distress for part of the game, naive and everything, then at certain points in the game she kinda "took control" instead of just going with what booker said and those IMO were the only parts in the game where the writing for her stood out, and even then it felt a little out of place sometimes.
Not at all saying she's a bad character but best character of the year? [sp]Booker/Comstock[/sp] and his background were way better written than her.
