It's not a submachine guns when it uses full sized anti-materiel rounds. It's a machine gun.

Serbu Super Shorty
Now they're probably thinking "But Bean-O!" These guns are specially made for Tactical Force SWAT Ninja Team FBI Operators. They use them all the time! If they were such stupid weapons why would they exist? Well first off consider the fact that someone with advanced training and skill CAN fire a gun like this. The average O.G. Dumbass can't. But more importantly their place in the line of fire is far less central than you'd think. They're less perp-shooters and more super-compact door-busters. They are loaded with about 3 shotgun shells specially designed to blow locks off doors and when an entry team comes upon a locked door they just blow the lock off. That's really all they're designed to do. Sometimes undercover cops carry one stashed somewhere because it's so intimidating and you'd never expect a cop to pull one on you but a pistol is still far better for that purpose.
For some reason modern media tends to fuck up their portrayal of these guns in two ways. One, they think that they have LESS recoil. Not more. I'm not exactly sure where this notion started but I imagine it was one action movie and then another copying off of the first and so on and so forth. Make no mistake, they're impossible to control.
Too long for you?
* Meant for use by law enforcement to destroy door locks and nothing else.
* A well-trained user can use it decently, the average person can't.
* It has very high recoil, blame the lack of a stock.
- The media (or Hollywood and alike) inaccurately portrays it to be very controllable.
USP Match
Basically it's a USP with an extended heavier barrel and a compensator on the front of it to make it more frontheavy. These things make it more accurate but also more expensive and less wieldy. One thing that people constantly get wrong about the Match is that it was designed, as it's name clearly suggests, for competition shooting. That's it. It's not really a combat weapon. It's not tactical. It's just designed to boost accuracy somewhat for competition shooters who won't mind the fact that it wouldn't make a particularly good military weapon, offensive or defensive.
Why did people get confused? Lara freaking Croft. She used not one but two of them. I guess the reasoning is that since they're more accurate they'd make up for the inherrent inaccuracy of shooting two guns akimbo. They forgot that since both are more poorly balanced they'd actually shoot with less accuracy than a pair of standard USPs, not more. Perhaps the concept of an exclusively civilian weapon from H&K got everyone mixed up, so the tacticool crowd assumed that it was the next generation of super-1337 sidearms because it was made by H&K. This I guess isn't an uncommon mistake since even Valve littered HL2 with them. But they probably did that because it looks a little cooler than the bread-n-butter USP the Combine would probably use, even if ultimately it doesn't work as well.
What makes it an even better candidate for this list is that it's no longer in production. Not too many were ever made. The USP they market to competition shooters now is known as a "USP Expert" which has a longer slide instead of a compensator. Original USP Match pistols are very rare, and therefore owned almost exclusively by collectors and the occasional competition shooter. As is usual for weapons on the list if you google it you'll find almost nothing but airsoft versions for all the cosplayers and the occasional gunbroker auction that runs in the thousands. Which is a shame really, because it does look pretty darn cool, even if it's not a very good weapon since the concept of an "offensive" handgun is bullshit and it probably wouldn't even make the best offensive handgun either.
Sometimes Bean-O gets chunky with paragraphs.
* It has a extended barrel to get more accuracy, but it makes the front end heavier.
* It's a competition pistol, not recommended for combat!
* There aren't too many originals, only airsoft versions are still in production.
AK-74u
There has been much fanfare surrounding the AK-74u, at least more than it's big brother the AK-74 and far more than it really deserves. In a way it is to the AK-74 what the M4 is to the M16. A little annoying and overrated bastard child of an otherwise good weapon. In fact probably moreso. The similarities basically stem from the fact that both came into being for much the same reasons. The army had a nice, big rifle they were pretty happy with, they wanted something smaller for the troops that didn't want to deal with a heavy, burdensome assault rifle and yet they didn't want a submachine gun either because that would mean an entire different set of parts to keep track of and replace, new magazines and a far shorter effective range. So both Russia and America basically reached the same conclusion. Take the standard service rifle, give it a shorter barrel and a folding or retractable stock. That way a squad member with a 74u could use magazines from all his mates who had the full-size 74. But unlike the M4 the 74u was something a little more irksome.
The AK-74 was designed around the shortcomings of the AK-47. Namely the limited range and wild recoil. Everything else was left basically unchanged but it was an improvement. Now the gun could pelt a human-sized target at 500 yards as opposed to 300 and it had less recoil than the M-16 it was meant to outshoot. It seemed like a success, and it is. The Russian army is still using the 74, having almost completely phased the 47 out of service. It still doesn't shoot quite as accurately as many 5.56 guns out there but it is pretty darn close and that's good enough. The '74 even went on to follow in the footsteps of it's older brother, having made appearances in conflicts around the world. So what of the 74u?
Well if the '74 is like the M16 the '74u is like an M4. But unlike the M4 it was a bit of a disappointment. Sure, the M4 wasn't exactly as accurate as it's big brother but the '74u has an effective range of less than the original '47. At the same time it's prone to overheating so that major oh-so sought-after reliability aspect is compromised and unlike the '74 it's uncontrollable. A burst of any more than 3 or 4 shots will send the muzzle up into the sky. You see, the M4 is a good weapon by itself. It has flaws but it's not bad. The 74u is by comparison pointless, it's flaws make it less accurate or controllable than the 47 and it lacks punch in comparison to that too. So it's has none of the advantages gained by switching to the 5.45mm round in the first place. I bet now you're expecting me to tell you that no one uses it right?
I'm probably missing some important points.
* A carbine version of the AK-74.
* Not as accurate as the full rifle.
* Overheats often.
* Nasty recoil.
* Weaker.
* Can't even out-range the classic AK-47.
Z-M LR300
Here's one that slipped through the cracks. When it was announced in 2000 weeaboos jizzed. I mean look at it. This thing looks so badass. It's also a piston AR so it doesn't shit where it eats, meaning it won't get dirty and foul up as often as a normal M4 carbine. Because we all know that Z-M are the only ones to ever think to put a piston on an AR-15[/sarcasm]. That and it doesn't have that huge tube at the end so you can get folding stocks. It also apparently has less recoil in spite of the incredibly short barrel. That and magic faries suck your cock every time you shoot it.
Guess how many of these were made.
Time's up. Not many. That is because it's barrel is too short for widespread civilian sales in the us and no law enforcement agency/army has adopted it yet. And the civilian version has seen limited sales as well. Now why is that? Let's ask their website.
http://www.zmweapons.com/lr_kits.htm
See that? Those things cost $1700. not for the gun either. That's just the upper receiver. Just the upper. Think about that, for the price of an L85 you get half of this:

That's the one you can legally own in the states without the class 3 SBR rigamaroll.
The whole kit starts at 2150$ not counting shipping and tax.
http://www.zmweapons.com/lr_rifles.htm
So the reason for it's lack of success is obvious, it's not a bad gun per se but it's also not the only piston AR upper ever made nor the first. And at 1.7k for the upper alone it's just a dealbreaker. You can get an entire H&K 416 for less than that. That's saying something. They have proved popular with the portrayals though, having shown up in STALKER, as hundreds of skins on FPSbanana and there's even an airsoft version available.
It's also not surprisingly no longer in production, Z-M stopped making them in 2007 and sold the rights to Para-Ordinance which plans to make release their variants of them this year. Hopefully for less. Will it be a success then? With H&K and Colt in the same market it doesn't seem likely even if they bring the price down to earth but only time will tell.
It shouldn't be hard to assume that he hates weaboo weapons.
* There's not too many of them.
* The design itself is good.
* It's overpriced, you can get a similar gun with half of the money.
