appreciate it but I've already had the opportunity to clear out my head in chats and with others.
I just need a lot of reassurance that I'm not wack when it comes to things like personal morals and such, especially in such a vulnerable period of my life.

As long as your personal morals don't deliberately put others into difficulty or actually accept causing harm to them, I don't see why you should be that worried about them. That you have a kind of personal code despite your situation is more than most people can manage having.
how do some folks in geeky circles go so long without showering???? The feeling of stepping out of a shower all nice and clean is THE BEST. I don't understand.

I had the teeth falling out dream and now its snowing like fuck over here. Great start.
I'm not fond of the horseshoe theory but I've had the displeasure of encountering people who are so radical in their views they damn near confirms its existence
I hate how easy it is for people to dehumanize others for not only their ethnicities, their sexualities, and other things out of their control, but also their ideas, their worldviews, and even something as small as fucking video game opinions.
I legitimately think people who do this are absolutely awful people, and unfortunately I have spent the majority of my social life in bubbles of these. this has left me with a lot of insecurities and given me a large sense of guilt when I have my moments of weakness and forget myself. I end up beating and berating myself up, and I feel like the worst person ever. thankfully I have friends who help me reassure that I'm not exactly that.
example, I had a discussion several weeks ago with someone who defended doxxing someone for some really weird ERP in final fantasy XIV, and the way they argued and attacked me made me feel like I was defending a sexual predator, even if I knew deep down that wasn't the case, it was just a bunch of weird nerds that definitely breached the terms of use but not caused anyone any real harm. and yet, I spent a few days with a really nasty gut feeling afterwards. thankfully, I had a talk with a friend about our perception of morals and I came back to my senses and was more determined than ever. and I also lost total respect for a bunch of people, who I am pretty sure have no actual life experience at all.

The fault is with those people for being so quick to judge. There's nothing wrong with you, if nothing else it proves you have a stronger moral compass and an ability to tell there's a line in the sand that nobody should cross. People who follow those stupid views tend to try and gang up in an effort to force others to accept their view of right and good, which if you're truly trying to be right and good, is not right and good at all.
You know this saying about two wrongs not making a right? It's the same with those meatheads arguing there was nothing wrong with doxxing. It's not easy doing the right thing and following the right way. It's not without reason that it's said that the way of truth and being righteous is like walking on a knife edge through the eye of a needle.
Keep to your morals as they are now and you'll grow to be a far better person than any of those scoundrels could ever hope to be.
i got woken up two hours earlier for no good reason whatsoever
my disappointment is immeasurable, and my day is ruined
I wish Youtube would at least tell me the names of the videos that were deleted/made private so I knew what the fuck I lost off my playlists.
