I was 15 years old and thought grizzly bears were really badass at the time and thought it would be a cool nickname.
My first name is John. My middle name is Joseph.
I really fucking loved K-On! when it was on
My first name is Winston, which was taken, so I added an N
I picked Sewer guy because I mostly intended on lurking, while occasionally looking through people's garbage. (Still ticks me off I didn't capitalize the g or make everything lower-case aggghhhh)
[t]http://cdn1.thecomeback.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/505672.jpg[/T] + Star Fox My more recent username I use everywhere else (Galactic S.O.U.L) is the name of a song in Katamari Forever
The only origin of my username is that I thought it sounded cool back when I was playing Battlefield 2. Started as uaredead1998 (from what I can remember), became uaredead2020 around the time I was playing XBox 360, then later became Theuaredead sometime in 2009 or 2010.

oh boy story time so back when i was a young child (think pre-double-digits), i came up with my first online username - not the one you see next to my post here, but one that i would proceed to use for almost a decade before i realized it was dumb and changed it. that name was "BearzUnlimited" and it was pretty much my go-to for every site i signed up for. so why isn't that my name on here? well don't you wanna know so on steam, even though i used BearzUnlimited pretty much everywhere else, i decided to shorten it to Bearz for once. "Bearz" being a not-terribly-uncommon alias, i was bound to run into someone else using that name at some point. well, that someone else was an admin of a garry's mod sandbox server i once joined, and while i didn't actually run into that Bearz, i did run into a couple of his disciples who immediately started yelling at me and calling me an impostor, threatening me with a report or a ban or some shit like that. me being young and dumb and not really knowing how things worked, this scared the absolute shit out of me and after briefly trying to defend myself, i disconnected from the server and changed my steam username to the full "BearzUnlimited" and that was the last i ever saw of them. however, the memory would last for some time afterwards, and when i found myself signing up for the facepunch forums (probably to get help with some mundane gmod error bullshit), it had me thinking. i was about to punch in my username as "BearzUnlimited" when i stopped. "hmm," i thought, "this is the garry's mod forum, and earlier when i was called an impostor for being called 'bearz,' i was on a garry's mod server." after putting 2 and 2 (or maybe something like 5 and "fish" or some other random bullshit, given how logical this process actually was) together in my head, i came to the conclusion that "OH MY GOD IF MY NAME ON HERE IS BEARZ THEN IM GONNA GET CALLED AN IMPOSTOR AGAIN AND GET IN BIG TROUBLE AND GET BANNED AAAAAAAAAA" so i had to come up with something else, then, and being in the middle of a phase of loving Spore, and on the fringes of a phase of greatly enjoying random humor, i had the perfect sources to draw username inspiration from. basically i just took the name of my favorite spore creature i made and added "of destiny" to the end because i thought it sounded cool or funny or something. "TheCronkofDestiny". this is literally the only website where i'm stuck with this godforsaken dumb ass motherfucking username i hate it
I was about 8 at the time and loved Koalas, so I used aussiedropbear for the next 6 or 7 years or something like that. I normally go by Sevgi everywhere now which I got from a danooct video. Somehow didn't realise it meant love in Turkish at the time but I'm actually really glad it ended up meaning that. The amount of Turks I get adding me on steam is a tad annoying though not gonna lie
Back in the day, I found Sprial Knights on Steam for free and I decided to play it. When it was time to name my avatar, I started calling it Nerokhan. The name's stuck with me since then.
it's the sound a defeated half-ghost makes
RebelTaxi's character from his comic Loki IRL.
I got my Name Cause i like the Gman from Half Life 2 and im from Germany:toot:
Because crumpets are class and ten years ago I thought that was a good basis for a username. Stuck with it now.
I've honestly forgotten. All I remember is I never really had a solid username until this one. Been using it for the better part of a decade.
back in middle school we had a call and response game and the first word in the game was buttsex, and sometime shortly before I joined the game got brought back for a little while, so since it was fresh in my head I took it as my username. over the years it got modified into all kinds of different names, first bootsox, then boot, then butte, then butre. I eventually added jp to butre because any time a northern european tries to pronounce butrejp they just say buttrape but then later dropped it because too many people thought the jp was there because I'm a weeaboo
pretty mush from this guy, and that's about it.
Used to be a huge edgelord and had a page on Facebook (where I posted memes) called "Go Kill Yourself" and thought I could shorten it, and thought "gokiyo" didn't sound that good. So I added a "Now" to the end , and yeah. Not that proud :v: I've stopped using that and started to use "Inaba" which comes from this + this. And if that name is taken, I just postfix it with "hare"
because too many people thought the jp was there because I'm a weeaboo
were they wrong though
Its a shortened version of the name Infabrication (which I use on twitter and tumblr). Thought Infabrication sounded cool compared to my god awful deviantART name which I had for a few years. [sp]Infallible-Wolf[/sp]
I used the name Gunner in Halo and Renegade online to throw people off. I always drove in Halo and Renegade and would never actually go gunner. This later became Gunner the Gunner when the name Gunner was taken on a modding website, and then it latter became Gunner Th because I hit the A button too early when making my Xbox live name. And now it's still Gunner Th or Gunnerth Also in middle school German class we were given a random German name, and the name I was given was Gunnar, which also contributed.
initials of my first name, my second name and battlefield 2142
First syllabe of my name and surname.
At the time, I had been watching a lot of Neon Genesis Evangelion. Also, I was, like, 15? So yeah, I regret that sometimes. Watching NGE that is - not the 1337 part.
Kurahk was the name of the first Bionicle set I ever owned
similar story; i was trying to name myself Irnakk on the Lego forums but some bastard stole it, so it ended up becoming imacc. as for the 2009, idfk i guess i made the account in 2009
To make a long story short, I came up with the name "Zarkan" when I was transitioning from kid fan of lego to teenage fan of Bionicle. (I called myself brickkid when i was about 10 years old) I and half of the other members on the number one Bionicle fan site has their own terrible OC characters. I was a "Toa of Cyclones," whatever that meant. Anyway, when I was finally nearing adulthood and wanted to leave that awkward phase of my life behind, I came up with the name "CyclonatorZ" for usage on non-Lego websites. I've stuck with it ever since. For some reason, though, my steam account name still uses a variation of "Zarkan." :why:
Some of my basic training buddies thought I cool for having a hot, sexy black girlfriend, so they made my radio call sign 'chocolatedrop.'
i used to be billytehmonkey on steam. 12 years ago...
i like food
