If the graffiti is kept on the artists' property, or if they have permission to do it, I don't care. If it's in/on an abandoned building I don't think it's that bad. But it's wrong to vandalize private property and city owned property. You know tax payer money goes towards cleaning it.
Yeah, huge waste of money to clean it up, and a lot of it is unnecessary

How could you not want something like this?
Because I prefer my walls to be white and if I would want anyone to do that I would request it.
How is it even an argument if people paint shit on your wall although you didn't ask for it?
Also most graffiti looks like this

That looks more like something someone painted on their back fence at ten years old.
It all depends, like people said, on what it looks like... but more than that it is where it is located. Side of a train? Who gives a fuck. Random alley or a somewhat hidden wall? fine... but people's store fronts and apartments and such is no good, thats just a dick move.
So what? I just saw the pictures you posted:

For me, all three of those (with the elephant one) are equally horrible. You wouldn't mind if somebody sprayed that "LOVE GIRLS" at your house wall?
It's a crime.
That said, I think it's a great art form, and I love admiring it, but it's still defacing private property. If someone is cool with graffiti on their wall, then cool, go for it. But if a legitimate business is trying to get by, it's a pain in the ass for them to have to take the time to repaint their walls.

Honestly, I'd like to some day put up a wall somewhere where people can legally tag. Keep gang bullshit to a minimum and let people put whatever they want there as long as it's not all a bunch of dicks and racist BS.
I wouldn't mind that either.

It's obviously a crime if you're painting on buildings that aren't owned by you.
I wouldn't want someone drawing all over my house artwork or not
I do think, that Banksy should be given immunity and be allowed to put up his pieces wherever he wants without punishment. People will make a pilgrimage to see a Banksy piece, and as thus it'd attract customers to nearby businesses.

Most graffiti on houses is on abandoned/empty houses, but it would be annoying depending on what's put up.

If you actually believe that, you don't know what Banksy stands for.

I didn't say people should pay him for it.
I think he should just continue as he does, minus the threat of the law.

Any business owner to clean up a Banksy piece is mighty daft.
Its a form of self expression so it can be right

I agree with this
ITT: A whole lot of ignorance.
Really, I love how people assume that every graffiti artist started out throwing masterpieces onto NYC walls unnoticed. I'm quite sure that artists like Space Invader and Banksy started tagging before they created ten-foot-tall multipart stencils, may I add.
When it is wrong:

I personaly think it is ok when it is actualy art, and not just some text.

You gotta practice somewhere, and big canvases are expensive.
^ I wouldn't consider the second one to be grafitti.
That second one looks commissioned to me.

I like this, not because of the tag, but because the tagger had the balls to climb that building, and get up there and tag it where he could be seen by everyone.

Still. IT ISNT ART NO MO!RGUNIDJBNRG!
Living in Los Angeles, pretty much all of the graffiti I am exposed to are shitty gang style tags plastered randomly over walls and billboards. They're really an eyesore.

You need better billboard tags, like this:

Some graffiti are beautiful. However, when you are painting on other people's property, it's wrong. It doesn't matter how great you think your art is, if someone doesn't want it on their wall, then you shouldn't paint it on their wall. It's ignorant to force something upon someone simply because YOU think it's great. That would be like someone painting your house pink and green without permission because they think it looks better.
So if someone walked up to your house and painted anime characters or dragons or whatever the fuck you people assume art is on the side of your house you'd just go "daww look he made arts"
