Fixing diseases yes, making super people who are 10x better than you no. Because the people who can't afford it will be left out, with no way to get ahead, like Gattaca. How do you compete with somone who is in every way better than you?
If we modify genetics on humans, that could only mean we can control them as well. That would lead to a controller, then eventually a controlled controller would take control and we will lose our freedom of imagination.
