Oh neat a beer thread, i have about a 100 more beers to go at the Fiddler in the Hague before i have done all the beers and i picked out some very unusual ones that are surprisingly good, their sell about 200-250 beers including smaller breweries and even got their own. Kompaan 39 Bloedbroeder (Bloodbrother) and Leffe Tripel are one of my favorites, i gotta take a picture of the beer menu so i can highlight what were some good ones but damn i wish you could get those beers easier. [editline]1st May 2016[/editline] Do they sell Belgium beer in the US actually?
We have Stella and probably some others. I like Stella.
Stella is gooood, bit sidetracking but if you ever find yourself around Belgium i strongly suggest doing a Trappisten beer guide, the beer is made by actual monks and just being in a old chapel is amazing (especially since y'know, they make beer). So nothing like La Trappe or Westmalle is sold outside of the benelux? Damn..
So nothing like La Trappe or Westmalle is sold outside of the benelux? Damn..
Some places sell more variety than others. I'm sure you can get a lot of Belgian brands in the US, I'll have to look next time I go to the local supermarket. They recently updated their store and now the beer isle is like a candy store for adults. So many options and local brews. Build your own packs too which is good for going outside your comfort zone.

I just wish it wasn't so expensive
Costs only a dollar. Great quality for the price.
Right now I've got a Magic Hat summer variety. Not bad, not my favorite though
Magic Hat is slang for condom, you know that right?
Magic Hat is slang for condom, you know that right?
no it's not

[editline]1st May 2016[/editline] Do they sell Belgium beer in the US actually?
Belgian-style is a popular beer, but not all are actually Belgian-import. Blue Moon, for example, advertises itself as a belgian-style beer, and is owned by MillerCoors, which makes Miller and Coors beers
My everyday drinking favorite: [IMG_thumb]http://www.lcbo.com/content/dam/lcbo/products/045955.jpg/jcr:content/renditions/cq5dam.web.1280.1280.jpeg[/IMG_thumb] And my all time favorite which is next to impossible for me to get my hands on: [img_thumb]http://brooklynbrewery.com/system/beers/48_shelf_Sorachi-12oz-LR_original.png?1442434660[/img_thumb]
However, if you go to the beer section at the grocery store, you're sure to find a Belgian-style beer, or an actual Belgian import, like Hoegaarden (I like this one) [editline]2nd May 2016[/editline] fucking killed my automerge motherfucker
Belgian-style is a popular beer, but not all are actually Belgian-import. In fact wiki tells me MillerCoors brews the beer that Pabst owns. Regardless of what beer you buy, the profit eventually funnels down to one of two companies, basically. Not so much Pabst, I suppose. [editline]1st May 2016[/editline] (oh, and Anheuser-Busch InBev acquired SABMiller, which also has a shitload of foreign brands. So pretty much anything you buy now will be part of the Anheuser-Busch empire)
Anyone else from the east coast? Also another great PA beer. [t]http://s.mainstreet.com/files/tsc/mainstreet-photos/photo-gallery/art-gallery/beer-lion.jpg[/t]

This is my current jam [t]http://i.imgur.com/le99XjO.png[/t] I usually fucking hate IPAs but this one doesn't taste like I'm drinking ground up lawn weeds or something [editline]2nd May 2016[/editline]
Anyone else? If you like Belgian wheat beers, treat yourself to a Hoegaarden. Although really I haven't found a Belgian beer I don't like. Blue Moon, Stella, Hoegaarden, Shock Top, White Rascal...
any one try oculto?

I think Red Racer for me. It's damn tasty and it's not too outrageously priced at the LCBO. [img_thumb]http://www.lcbo.com/content/dam/lcbo/products/376285.jpg/jcr:content/renditions/cq5dam.web.1280.1280.jpeg[/img_thumb]

Heineken is win
Heineken is win
Did you not get the memo, sir?
Heineken is win
I feel like you and i are in the minority of having the pleasure of liking a beer that is widely available all over the world.
I only drink the highest of quality Yuengling is usually my go to beer though [t]http://i.imgur.com/SLoTdNk.jpg[/t]
We got a case of Hamm's recently and it was disgusting. Yuengling is also my go-to. I contend that it's the best taste:price ratio in a beer. It's so popular here that if you go into a bar and order a lager, you get a Yuengling. Also, I have a confession to make: I don't think Budweiser is terrible. It's not great, of course, but of the huge brands in America like Miller and Coors, Bud is easily the most drinkable.
Magic Hat is slang for condom, you know that right?
Okay so I'm drinking condoms. Your point? :v: [editline]3rd May 2016[/editline] When I was in Antigua, they had this Antiguan brewed beer called Wadadli. It wasn't the best but it was free and it did the trick. Plus it's really all they had other than Piton
