More like bobbing your head/headbanging to the beat, at your desk, while browsing LMAO pics, instead of getting some sleep.

dear diary, today I claimed that art was better than science and then a physicist who was reconstructed into some sort of messiah made of pure energy blew me up :c [editline]17th May 2011[/editline]
art just doesn't want to admit that it has science inside, because then the science might get out
MARCO, YOU JUST ATE WHALE CANCER
also Tesla rules
art just doesn't want to admit that it has science inside, because then the science might get out
But if Art has science inside, but Science is a natural art, even though nature is a unified form of art... Oh shit, I'm three layers deep.
But if Art has science inside, but Science is a natural art, even though nature is a unified form of art... Oh shit, I'm three layers deep.
there is art in science, and science in art. All rolled into one glorious 69.
My brain consists of billions and billions of confused cells right now... ...as to why art, science, Tesla, and Hawking have been mentioned, but no Sagan? Disappointed, I am...

There is no art in good science. Science is objective collection of data and the interpretation of data into accurate physical models. A scientist could be better than another scientist at it, but there is no room for artistic license. Good science should always give the same results.
What the F, indeed, Quinn! What the F, indeed.

Crazy thought, what if art and science both have their merits, and have contributed to society in equal amounts, though in different fashions. Saying one is objectively better than the other is elitist and more than a little ridiculous.

[editline]17th May 2011[/editline] But art is definitely objectively LAMER than science. [editline]17th May 2011[/editline] Deal with it, artistes.

And what wouldn't be "good" science?

~opinions~
Anything that doesn't involve drawing reasoned conclusions from observed phenomena is not good science.
Well that doesn't sound like science at all, just speculation. It's like coming to the conclusion that a twinkling light in the night sky is a flying saucer and only a flying saucer, rather than a star or the reflection of light from a plane, or anything with a reflective surface.

Seeing a point of light in the sky is not ground to declare that it's a flying saucer. [editline]17th May 2011[/editline] If that doesn't sound like science to you, you have a very strange conception of what science is.
Serious question, do you appreciate art in any context, or does it only irk you when it's put in the way of precious science Because this may be part of your online persona or whatever, but it really seems like science is the only thing that matters to you
No I hate art in all its forms I especially hate music GRRR why is this on my computer and all these pictures I've saved DISGUSTING why do I amass such meaningless drivel on my harddrive when that space could be better used for spreadsheets
This is one of the most constructive and metaphysical conversations I've ever seen on the internet.
