Shit That Gets You Mad v.INFINITY - The Endless Cycle of Hatred
I've had a crush on this girl my age for about 6 months or so. I tried asking her out once after literally hours of thinking about what to tell her.
After I finally send her this message, she's taken. I had heard she was taken beforehand, but I wasn't sure. I asked her out WAY too early and I've regretted it since.
The thing is, not only is she one of the 3 friends I have, she's beautiful. I mean, that word gets thrown around a lot, but she's got these eyes, this hair, she's funny...
I guess seeing her get her heart broken and getting with other guys time after time makes me sad. I just want her to be happy, but I'm not sure if I'd be able to provide her with happiness.
(sigh) Man, she's amazing. Maybe she'll be mine someday. Gotta keep my head held high.
Fuck, this makes me think of how me and my friend really like the same girl that we are both close friends with. He says he doesn't have a chance with her and he'd much rather see her happy with me than anyone else. It makes me so happy to have friends like that but my god do I feel guilty asking her out.
Plus, I asked said girl out over Facebook like a huge dumbass (well, we only communicate through Facebook due to going to different schools) and now I'm worried that might affect her answer when I ask her out when we go playing laser tag with a bunch of friends.
being completely sober in a room full of drunk people is the shittest thing
it'd be way better if we could all be drunk together
why couldn't you drink? Designated driver?

You have the courage to ask out though.
not everyone cool and nice is always taken. it's just harder to find someone like that. Best thing to do in high school is just be relaxed about it, you have plenty of time.
On the topic of shit that gets me mad: being made fun of for not smoking weed. I swear to god these kids at my school think it's the greatest display of skill and talent and genius ever. It's cool if they smoke, doesn't bother me. Just annoying that they think they're superhuman for doing it.

man, as fucking if, that's a whole other dimension of pain and self loathing for me
nah, just a bunch of drunk people from my block and I wasn't drunk is all

smoke PCP so they can't say shit
It's OK. Asking people out over Facebook is surprisingly effective. Nearly every couple around here started over Facebook.
Hell, one couple has been together for 6 years. SIX YEARS! That's quite a while for a teen relationship.
Yeah, but sadly, shit doesn't fly like that around here. Girls want you to have courage. Not be some brave guy that's willing to wrestle a bear in front of her, but just have the courage to talk to her without getting nervous.
Edit: Now I can't stop telling myself:

That would never work where I live.

Kent, Canterbury campus. I haven't got severely fucked yet which is sad, but I've been at least tipsy on an almost nightly basis which is good
where are you at?
I give up on trying to get a girlfriend and then I suddenly become friends with a bunch of girls.
I think about asking one of them out, suddenly I find myself lonely again.
Can't break this cycle.

ah you're actually doing a worthwhile course, as opposed to my 4 seminars a week discussing weird gay old novellists and rewriting oedipus the king to include copious amounts of crack cocaine
Conflicting advice from two very reliable people.
I hate how I want to get a job, but I'm too much of a god damn coward.
ARG!

Such is life in Ancient Greece.
I hate how there are so many good games with great concepts that will never get a [proper] sequel because they didn't have enough publicity, or they were fucked over by their publishers, or because none of the people in charge care about the IP they were given.
Psychonauts, Brutal Legend, Eternal Darkness, Rise of Legends, the Aliens vs Predator series in general...
I hear that all the time, but I hope it happens.
Maybe when I get teeth fixed I'll have a chance...yeah...
If I were you I'd just try to be friends with a girl. That's how a lot of relationships start out anyway. The connection will grow and after you two get to know eachother pretty well, have a lot of experiences together just as friends, then it might become apparent that you two could be compatible and really like eachother. Don't even set a goal that you will go out with this person just keep in mind that the girl could be a great friend and it'll happen if both of you want it to.
Nothing interesting happens over here except for Oilers losing. And even that has gotten boring.

If you can get a job, it's worth doing just to learn to politely negotiate with bastards
If you can't, that sucks, but then nobody expects you to have a job in this economy anyway :v:
That's what I've been doing, man. I've always been the "shoulder to cry on" because I "understand everything".
Even if I don't, it's always good company. I like to help people. Plus, getting hugged by girls is always nice.
Then you gotta wait. You're 17 correct? Once you hit college everyone will become more mature and will most likely become apparent that you're a damn decent guy. Just don't worry about getting a girlfriend too much because that might show when you talk to girls and that will put them off.
Well, I'm this crush I've got is letting me move in with her when she gets her apartment in the city as long as I pay half of the rent, so it gives me something to look forward to. A friend, you know? That's all I want.
Well if she says she'll let you move in with her I'd say that's a friend so good luck with that.
I wish I had friends.
I'll be your friend!
But you live on the other side of the country!
But you live on the other side of the country!
Over the internet or not, a friend is still a friend.

At least he's IN the same country. He could be in the UK.

Eh, I have like ONE friend. And even then they just exploit my ability to somehow magically fix computers.
