Honestly I like your ideas. It kinda reminds me of Bonobo and Lusine.
That being said, it all sounds like [I]only[/I] ideas. I'm not a musical person, and I haven't picked up an instrument since 3rd grade and I haven't done any writing style stuff since like 2008, but the sound definitely reeks of "out-of-the-box synth instruments." It all feels crunched into the mid ranges, and it's all really even. No interesting sounds or textures to hook me in. I'd say go out and record stuff to drop in to replace some of that synth. It doesn't even have to be instrumental. In fact, I fucking love it when people take samples of crashing shopping carts and shit like that and make beats out of it.
