Hello, I'm 'DexterMorgan'. I'd appreciate if you'd take the time to read this. Thanks.
-My self-image fluctuates constantly from decent to very low.
-I'm deathly afraid my laziness and my fear of rejection will very negatively affect me and my future.
-Because of my fear of rejection, I often avoid social events.
-I constantly judge myself and others, and I always put myself in the other person's shoes.
-Because of the above, I can never be mean to anyone face-to-face.
-Again, because of the above I'm generally a pushover.
-I lie too much for my own good, and I sometimes get so caught up I even believe my own lies.
-A lot of people think I'm egotistical because I sometimes act as such, when in reality, I'm not, I'm just hoping that from pretending to have an ego I'll actually get one.
-There's a girl I like on my AIM who I know likes me back, and I know she wants me to talk to her, but I can't. I always feel like I'm imposing, and that she's always busy doing something and when I message her I'm an annoyance. I've even told her this, several times, and she tells me not to worry about it. I still do, and it prevents us from talking unless she starts the conversation.
-I'm constantly changing depending on who I'm with, I always change to be exactly like them. I usually make friends with everyone I meet for this reason, you figure people like themselves, and if you act like them, they like you.
-In an essence, because of the above, I'm entirely fake and I don't really know who I am, cliche as that is.
-I care so much about what people think that when I ride my bike I imagine the thoughts of everyone in the cars that drive by me. The thoughts are always negative. Sometimes, when I stop to take a break because I'm really not in shape (not fat, mind you, just weak leg muscles from sitting on the computer all day) I pull out my cell phone and pretend I'm talking to someone, so people won't think I'm resting.
-In addition to the above I want to get in shape very badly, get bigger muscles and get healthier etc. (for esteem purposes), but I'm afraid of going to the gym or even telling my parents I want bigger weights. I end up doing push-ups, crunches, curls etc. late at night.
-I always get overworked about everything, but when I get down to thinking, it doesn't really matter. If I get a C in a class (it happened but only once) I'll beat myself up over it for a long time, but I honestly don't care. It's really hard to explain. An easier example would be if I paid $20 for something that I ended up not needing (which actually happened), I'll get really mad and upset, nearly to tears, though it's only $20.
-If I knew my parents and a select few friends wouldn't miss me, I wouldn't be here right now. I honestly don't care for life one way or another, it's not that I don't like it, it's just that I don't think it's really worth all the trouble and effort. I haven't gone over my means of suicide but I've written the speech in my head a thousand different times. I'd go to my school intercom and read it off during school hours. I'll never do it though, for the reason at the beginning of this bullet.
-Before I go to bed (which oddly takes over a half an hour for me), I pretend I have super powers and that I'm stopping a crime or that I'm in the school and I'm pretty a bullying. Whatever I'm doing, it's always courageous, I always look like I'm going to lose but don't, and everybody I know is watching. I thrive for acceptance.
I could go on for an hour but the girl I like just started a conversation, and that's my cue. I'll be making my leave now, hope you enjoyed reading if you got this far.
