But they added perks and stuff like in Fallout 3. It seems like it's going to be like Fallout 3 mixed with Oblivion to me.
Also, it takes place 200 years after Oblivion which I dislike because most of the games have taken place a few years after the previous. I WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS TO THE EMPIRE DAMMIT!!!
Oblivion had a terrible story and I'm glad it's set so far ahead now.
Holy shit this was off the first page. In all my time of being a WAYTer I have only seen that happen once before.

Skyrim. The whole theme hasn't been released but in one of the IGN videos about the sound design of the game you can hear the opening of it.
my steam fucked up and apparently the only way to fix it is to reinstall it.
If I uninstall steam do I lose my games and shit (from my computer I mean)
No, but you should back them up anyways.

I'd imagine something along the lines of:
Elder Council took over
Skyrim took advantage of the weakened empire to try and secede
Civil war broke out because half wanna leave the empire and half wanna stay
It's actually quite a good feeling, creating one's own mod.
Well, it feels good when it fucking works properly.

I know there was a book that came out that tells some of the things that happened, I think a wizard who was in a floating city took over the Imperial City or something.
What mod, Doom?

"The Infernal City". I actually have it sitting right next to me. It's pretty good, you should give it a read sometime.

Didn't that take place like a 1000 years into the future though?

Hmm, I might check it out. It would be awesome if I ever got Todd Howard to sign it since Bethesda headquarters is only a few hours drive for me. But Johnny lives a few hours closer to them D:

~40 years after Oblivion
And Skyrim is 200 years after Oblivion. I feel like I'm going to miss a lot of what happened in those 200 years.
might be explained with an intro or during the game or something though
Yeah, who knows, the storyline might revolve heavily around fixing the mess of an empire it is.
And fighting dragons.

According to Wikipedia
"With the absence of an heir to the Emperor's throne, the Empire began ceding territory out to the elven nations it once ruled. With The Blades having no one to defend, they all died off, were murdered, or went into hiding.[3] The King of Skyrim has recently died, provoking a civil war amongst the native Nord race. This war is last in a sequence of prophetic events foretold by the Elder Scrolls. In the midst of this event the Nordic god Alduin, a massive dragon, arises to destroy the world.[3] The player will assume the role of the last Dovahkiin (Dragonborn), a dragon-hunter annointed by the gods to help fend off this threat to Tamriel and Skyrim. Aiding the player will be Esbern (voiced by Max von Sydow), one of the last of The Blades.[3]"
Sounds pretty awesome. Too bad The Blades are a dying breed :frown:
They had always been my bros since Morrowind which was my first Elder Scrolls game.
Oh ok everybody just ignore me
I dislike you all anyway >:C
If the Orks thought he had an evil eye then, by the Emperor, an evil eye he would have.
Da Orks ar tha best

Ah, alright, yeah, it does sound pretty awesome.
Never really cared for the Blades though. I'm more of an Ordinator type of dude.
I just hope they keep the item/spell creation/customization, or even improve it. I want to name more maces Megadildor

From what I was reading you'll be able to craft your own weapons and such sort of like in Fable. Or at least it sounded like Fable to me. Dual wielding spells and weapons too. So healing in one hand and fireball in the other. Or two warhammers.
