I think they're quite interesting. They're just one of those things in life that most people overlook, but older fans actually have some very cool designs. It's also easy to fix and maintain them, plus they usually aren't too expensive.

Most of them also show how well things used to be made, in comparison to the cheapo Chinese plastic fans now; with those garbage low-cost motors.
