She started dating a older guy, people kept teasing her about sleeping with him and she kept promising me they weren't telling the truth. Few days later a good friend of hers told me she had been lying to me the whole time, never been so angry in my life, couldn't speak to her for almost a year because of it.
We're good friends now though, I've moved on and she's still dating him, and they're good for each other, but at the time it was awful.. She's on facepunch sometimes, so if she sees this, hi! :)
I was about to go over to my girlfriends house and as I was getting ready I checked Facebook and saw that she was in another relationship with some other guy.
I texted her and sure enough she had another boyfriend...

My brother had a crush on this girl from our music school. She was the same age as him and very good looking too. Fast forward to now, we find out she's a lesbian and has a girlfriend. My poor brother's heartache could've been avoided by mentioning it in the beginning, but instead she chose not to mention it and make him figure it out the hard way. It's good that he was over her by the time he found out.

I've had almost the exact same experience, except the girl and I became friends again after a time and *Almost* hooked up while we were both dating other people. She's still with that guy (3 years now) and I'm with someone who will give it to me straight. At the time, holy shit was it heart-wrenching. But now that I look back, I am glad.

I saw a story in the news some years back about this couple that had been married for like 50 something years in this high-rise. The man divorces the wife and leaves the condo/apartment. She is completely suicidal at that point and decides to do death by lemming. So the man gets right outside the lobby door on the ground floor, when his ex wife comes screaming down the side of the building and lands right on him, killing him instantly, but she survives.
My ideal girl would be one who is straightforward and isn't afraid to tell the truth, whether it hurts or not.
I once had a girlfriend, it was kind of a long distance relationship, but we got to see each other every second weekend or whatever, and after 2 short months of being together, she cheats on me with some fat fuck, and she got her sister to tell me.
A year later, a girl in my school took a liking to me, so did I, and we started dating for around a month, and then she cheats on me with a shit rugby player, and breaks up with me via statuses on an IM.

It's not my worst experience, but I went out on a date with this girl when I was 16 and the whole time she was texting. Even during the movie, she'd look up at the screen and asked me what just happened.
It's funny through because she developed carpal tunnel due to the insane amount of texting she did.
