Did you join FP because of Gmod, or another source game? - General

All the gmod contraptions!

Found out about TF2 Emporium and then I started lurking other subforums until I decided to make an account for the LoL thread. I used steam forums before coming here and I hated(and still do) that place.

I joined to participate in the deviantart appreciation station.

I joined because of SFM being a pain in the ass. But then Facepunch was just too fun so I stuck around. :v:

Played Gmod 8 and 9 for ages and I occasionally lurked here for the mods and contraptions. I started seriously lurking when 10 was released but haven't made an account because I don't see why bothering. Joined because the forums isn't dumbshit, I knew the rules, and I wanna talk about games. Joined on the New Years Eve. [editline]23rd July 2014[/editline] And no, I haven't played Gmod in ages.

Joined because of the mapping section, most of what I know in mapping I learned there.

I joined because I wanted to know how to import L4D2 models in Garry's Mod.

I browsed the forums around '09 as a guest (what little I could browse, wasn't more for ten minutes at a time tops). Didn't register an account until '11 for the mapping section.

I joined only because my brother is around on Facepunch as well, and I like it here. Wanted to do it earlier, but I browsed as a 12 year old guest and thought my English which was very poor back then would make me look ridiculous, and I had a temper.

I was nine do you expect me to remember this it was probably GMod, it was my 5/6th game (first purchase was Half Life Anthology and second was CS:S+GMod).

I joined to download a nude Alyx model pack and decided to troll the gmod porn thread

I lurked facepunch for a while, joined because one of my friends was in a Warframe Guild for facepunch

I joined because someone made a GMOD map that was pretty much mirrors edge, and back then my PC was too shit to run ME and I didn't have a console that could play it. I've not played GMOD in years and never really got mad into it like some of you guys get.

i was looking for a place to rant about stupid teammates in Dota 2 and then I stumbled into the Stupid People thread but since then it's turned into much more than calling out horrible players i've made great friends, worst enemies, new threads, new metas, and all that fun jazz this site is the best thing that ever happened to me and i can't believe I was going to leave it all behind

I joined because a friend of mine lurked here, and I had just gotten garry's mod for christmas. At first, I stayed in MS Paint, but then I just kinda roamed around. I stay because this is by far the best kept forum, as far as rules and banning.

I joined because I suddenly remembered a friend used it and I thought I'd check it out. I didn't make an account for a couple of months though.

Joined to discuss Rust, had a really shitty attitude in the Rust forums, then branched out to other subforums and learned how to behave on a forum website. (hadn't ever registered on one before this one.) Stayed for fast threads and modelling threads.

My school has practically every website blocked, and once you finish everything you can't do anything 'cept beat your head against the desk or sleep. One day, I found FP which was miraculously unblocked and I've kept it to myself incase someone else gets seen on it and it gets blocked.

Joined because I was part of another site and young and stupid and after a particularly dumb post they told me to go back to Facepunch, and I just kinda stayed.

I joined so I could post on Deviantart Appreciation Station. Back then I had no idea that Facepunch had anything to do with gmod and I thought that almost everyone here was British for some reason. :v:

Joined because of old threads related to Half-Life. That's how I got my first ban :downs:.

Joined because my friends already did and couldn't stop talking about it. Oddly enough, none of them come here anymore but me; and even give me the "You still go there?" look when I mention it.

I pretty much just joined to ask why I couldn't delete some zombie or headcrab ragdolls in gmod. Never did get an answer. And I lurked for a very long time, because there was a decent period where I believed every ban was a permaban, and that none of them were temporary. But I lost pretty much all interest in Gmod shortly before Gmod 10 came out. My friends and I will occasionally play TTT or prop hunt, but that's about it.
