I think massive restrictions on immigration is a fine idea
Even if if he can't deliver what he is promising, the fact that people are planning to vote for a man because he promises stuff like that is a legitimate cause for concern
We need borders that are actually worthwhile and have a decent amount of foot patrols. At this current moment in time, we have a serious problem with the Mexican Cartels and North American Militia Movement going head to head because of how lax it is down there. If you were to put this in mind, the lax borders we have with Mexico is directly leading to support of far-right militia groups in the southern states, which will eventually become a problem as they become more radicalized and retain more control over territories along the border.
So yeah, we either promote a good deal of regulations and security on the border or groups of militias will patrol the border and go open game on anyone crossing. The preferable measure is pretty obvious for me... Even as a member of a militia group.
You're making that seem pretty black and white, though. I agree that we need border reform, but Trump is actually claiming that he is going to get Mexico to pay for a big fucking wall along the border.
It's all gray. With how the current situation is progressing we are seeing far more radicalized militia groups going into non-patrolled areas and setting up their own defacto border patrol groups. Ranchers which are seeing these guys as being people who are protecting their properties from the drug cartels are giving them funding to purchase better equipment and pay for more members to do foot patrols.
Every so often you get a story about how the Sinaloa Cartel is shooting at some Oathkeepers or it's hunting down their family members stateside and killing them for interrupting their operations. When you have this happen, more militia groups go southwards, and sometimes you end up with people entering gun battles with the drug runners.
As for the border wall, as far as I'm aware of, he is referencing the one currently used in California. Which I would have no issue with what-so-ever. We need a wall like that.
People are really overreacting regarding Trump. I swear, people think this is what's gonna happen if he's elected or given nomination:

He's a terrible person that's entirely mistaken on just how much power he's being given if he were to be elected. For the first time in modern American history, people will be happy that congress has a habit of saying "no" to everything thrown at them.
If Trump wins, he'll either ragequit after a year or get impeached.
And that's another good reason to elect him. It'll remind people that we still have the power to throw politicians to the curb.
And that's another good reason to elect him. It'll remind people that we still have the power to throw politicians to the curb.
Take that, washington! We just fucked ourselves over, what do you think bout them apples??
And that's another good reason to elect him. It'll remind people that we still have the power to throw politicians to the curb.
Him being a big pissbabby that will leave office quickly is actually still a very bad reason to elect him, especially considering he appoints the people that will take his office if he were to leave.

trump getting elected would prove democracy doesnt work anymore
he literally brags about giving and accepting bribes
if he gets into power, he'll end the polite fiction that the usa is a democratic country and set it on the road to hell
You mean a border fence like the one in California, and doing the same thing Obama did back in 2013.
Seriously, presidents do have the power to issue travel bans based on nationality and region of area. It's not something new.
Kind of repeating some stuff I've already said but whatever:
Trump also plans to make Mexico pay for it. How? By threatening to cut off Mexico's foreign aid. Trump also plans to deport millions and millions of illegals currently in the US. Thing is, sending these illegal immigrants home would already be virtually the same as cutting off a large chunk of that foreign aid. They send around 20+ billion dollars back every year. Most of them are productive families, many even pay taxes - without reaping the benefits - to stay under the radar.
The sheer impact of re-introducing millions of people into Mexico (many of who don't even speak fluent Spanish), finding them places to stay and work (since they're now all unemployed) would already be a good reason for the economy to be thrown into chaos, now take into account that you're also removing the 20 yearly billions AND forcing them to spend even more on a gigantic wall. Now imagine you work on the long run instead, I mean, there are already more Mexicans leaving than entering the US. You've only got two neighboring countries, and Mexico is one of them. Why not help it grow and make use of its full potential as a business partner, rather than a (very expensive) knee-jerk reaction stemming from a fear-mongering campaign based on nothing but vengeful, "they took our jobs"-tier fantasies?
John Green is a pitiful author and his stories are bottom-of-the-barrel tween trash that does not deserve the immense praise they receive.
Tom Green is hilarious to me, but I can see why people hate him.
True Canadian pride right here

I never really see his books get any real praise other than from their target audience, generally teenagers.
I love Crash Course though, haven't read any of his books.

Best ones generally don't feature him though.
He seems to do a good job with the history courses, Hank's science courses have always been my favorite though.

I think you got that mixed up with Hilary Clinton.
How a career politician with that many scandals and corruption cases has that much of a chance to get elected for POTUS is completely baffling. I am pretty convinced that whoever thinks that Hilary should be voted in is completely delusional. At least with Trump, there seems to be the off-chance that he actually makes shit happen. The guy seems to be really aware to what's going on in Europa right now, for starters. Hilary will be a 4-year long shitfest where absolutely nothing positive will happen unless you are a hardcore tumblrina. Doesn't help either that Hilary's idea of a good leader is Angela Merkel, who is a leader whose legacy will be running one of the most prosperous European countries into the fucking ground within record time with her delusional decisions.
HammerFall should represent Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest, even if it isn't for this year.

no he really doesn't

neither does merkel though
it's pretty pathetic that this election has become "who is the least shitty" rather than "who is best for our country"
i sincerely doubt hillary would be worse than trump
I think Will Smith only backs up his wife because he's afraid of arguing with her

Avatar is the most overrated movie of all time
Avatar is the most overrated movie of all time
I'd say this award should go to The Hurt Locker, which won Film of the Year competing with Avatar.
Avatar was at least beautiful and optimistic, if derivative. The Hurt Locker was just a load of bullshit.
I've never really like the Eagles (RIP Frey), Kansas, Journey, Foreigners, or any other AOR band that gets airplay on a classic rock station. They kinda outgrown on me overtime.
Mega Man X7 is absolutely forgivable if you look at how weird all of Capcom's 3D games were up to that point.
X8 should be the collosal disappointment for backtracking just about everywhere and adding all of one useful feature.
Avatar is the most overrated movie of all time
I thought Avatar's overall reception was lukewarm at best.
I haven't seen anyone praise Avatar on anything beyond looking nice.
I don't understand Facepunch's strange obsession with choosing Iran over the Saudis when Iran is a different side of the same coin
