I really don't care much about Fallout 4, I'm much more hyped about Starcraft 2 Legacy of the Void.
I hope Fallout 4 is considered the worst in the series just so I can laugh at all my friends who won't shut the fuck up about it and at all the people posting shit about Fallout in SH claiming it's "news"
you sound like a shitty person
To be fair, it is really annoying.
fallout thread and players in general are the worst when it comes to taking any fair criticism of the game, they just tend to blow it off as "well you see bethesda are shit at x game concept, besides i'm just interested in the x unrelated game concept" if you present an undeniably sound argument
Are you one of those guys that criticize roof tiles for not having 4k textures and normal mapping
THANK YOU. Nobody else will agree with me on this because I get told "just let people have their fun". Same thing happened with the MGS V circlejerk months ago.
I find the Undertale circlejerk annoying too.
At least Undertale is a game that's out and is generally considered to be great. edit: although to be fair this has led to people carelessly spoiling jokes on twitter/tumblr
And? That doesn't entitle you to be an ass to people that are hyped about it.
Being hyped about something is one thing, shoving everything Fallout 4 related down someones throat is another.
I think it's extremely overrated (undertale). It's okay but man people think it's the best game ever.
Outside of the avatars, and the couple threads in SH, how is anyone shoving the game in your face here? Discussion about it is almost entirely contained within the Fallout thread.
FP is one of the few places where its not too bad with the whole hype train and I'm thankfull for that. Outside of FP I got some friends that try to spoil the fun and won't shut up about it and a lot of social websites are just filled with Fallout 4 posts. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate F4 and I'm planning on playing it myself once the whole hype is over and I can play in peace but its just really annoying when people try to force it on you. I hope you see/understand my point of view.
The worst thing about Fallout 4 is that it isn't being made by Obsidian.
I have no idea why bethesda's writing is so consistently terrible. Their lorework and backstory is usually very interesting - even their modern stuff! In Skyrim's abstract, a dragon demi-god was sent to the future by ancient men as a last-ditch attempt to delay the inevitable, and the player, one of their descendants and an agent of fate, has been born at the end of days to slay him. In game, you get shit like "WOW YOU ABSORBED THAT DRAGON SOUL. TRY PRESSING Z TO USE YOUR DRAGON POWERS. WOW I GUESS YOU REALLY ARE THE PROPHESIED DRAGON HERO. GOODBYE."
I find the Undertale circlejerk annoying too.
Oh yeah, forgot about that one. It's gotten to the point where I've seen enough avatars on FP to know the game's major players and their plot twists.
At least with undertale spreading the hype has some purpose as its a small indie game that will likely pass by many radars despite being quite good. FO4 hype is just free advertising for some faceless megacorp that is in many ways probably making the game inferior in some aspects.
Undertale isn't the best game ever. Not by far. It's just worlds better than most of the soulless shit that gets thrown in our faces.

On the one hand, you've got their bad writing like the whole DRAGONBORN PROPHECY and on the other, you have some pretty genuinely intriguing/interesting stuff like that one Dark Brotherhood quest from Oblivion, or the The Pitt DLC from FO3.
I have no idea why bethesda's writing is so consistently terrible.
Because people are constantly saying "who plays a Bethesda game for story/writing?". Everyone is enabling them.

Granted, with some issues, too, but minor enough to not break immersion.
Islam is just a religion and all religions should be treated with dignity and respect.
imo religions don't automatically deserve respect. I would treat them just like other, non-religious beliefs. Also not all religions are equal, some are way crazier than others. And they don't all promote the same values.

It's like asking what the best food ever is when opinions can be swayed by simply preferring either savoury or sweet [editline]8th November 2015[/editline] IMO Undertale is a very solid game, bursting with personality and good writing, but I can see why somebody wouldn't like it. I myself was nearly turned off by it having bullethell mechanics, which I despise.
There are a lot of reasons why Trump wouldn't be a good president but I don't think trying to stop people from crossing into your country and living there illegally to be all that "out there".
did he just say feminism is trying to "feminize" men or did I read that wrong

Have you ever opened a dictionary? Like seriously feminism is not a conspiracy theory to end masculinity.
Haven't you heard of emasculation? That is basically what the third and current wave is all about - destroying the patriarchy. The first and second wave ideologies are mostly over and achieved in the west - though second still exists in some form. It's the third wave that's taking over your campuses, social media and the internet with all the SJW shit. I don't have a direct problem with feminism and I'm not a misogynist. I'm just trying to distinguish one ideology from a better alternative in the form of egalitarianism (in my opinion, which is regrettably unpopular) and making it clear which is which. Of course people are going to be put off from a term that contains a noun that relates to only one type of person. All the focus should really go to the one with a universal name.

I'd suggest doing some reading on feminist theory before formulating an opinion on it. Not trying to make an epic zinger here, but it really helps to have background knowledge on this sort of thing before talking about it so openly.
it really helps to have background knowledge on this sort of thing before talking about it so openly.
Wouldn't exactly be talking about it if I didn't know about it, would I?
Wouldn't exactly be talking about it if I didn't know about it, would I?
I've seen people with a lot less knowledge than you on this topic waffling on about it, lack of knowledge on a topic hardly stops people from discussing it, especially on the internet. The point is, whether or not feminism's goal is to 'emasculate' men depends entirely on how you define the subjective concept of masculinity in the first place. If masculinity entails control and dominance to you, then I suppose you could argue for that case.
Oh yeah, forgot about that one. You wouldn't like if I did that to a game that YOU liked.
