Unpopular Opinions V5: "I still don't like Half Life 2." - General

I think math education reform is a bunch of bullshit. No, we don't need to make math more accessible, more practical, or - and I consider this to be the most noisome complaint of all - "more fun" in order to give students a greater chance of achieving whatever potential they might have. Good math students and bad math students will exist regardless.

FO4 looks kinda dated (on this picture at least). Though it would be better to use larger, higher quality pictures for the comparison.

Fallout 4 isn't beautiful, but it blows New Vegas and 3 out of the water for a fairly obvious reason: Actual colors Fallout 3 had horrendous color design as did New Vegas. Every NPC looked like they were covered in a thick layer of grease.

Every NPC looked like they were covered in a thick layer of grease.[/QUOTE] They improved on almost everything graphically, the design of pretty much everything (world, buildings, interiors, characters, robots, weapons, even rubble etc.) is just so much better, it's not really that they put more detail into the textures and models, but the designs are just better thought out in general. Colour is a huge thing too, but its just part of a whole spectrum of visual improvements.

Those screenshot just reminded me of the enclave base where they had caged dread claws and I'd get on top and let them roam wild in the complex killing everyone. It was like a simulated Alien movie experience afterwards though

For something so spectacular there's not really much there. But that's just me.

i find the artstyle for f4 very good but the engine itself is pretty damn outdated

This is probably an unpopular opinion but Fallout 4 is the most beautiful game I've played yet on a graphical and aesthetic level. That probably doesn't mean a whole lot though, considering most of the games I play are moldy old or visually unimpressive lovely things like Vampire the Masquerade, Don't Starve, Hotline Miami, KotOR, and indeed, the old Fallout games. Before anyone mentions stuff like it I haven't played Phantom Pain or Witcher 3 or whatever. There are games though that I probably think are more beautiful on a purely aesthetic level not considering graphics (Windwaker is still gorgeous)

I prefer games with GBA graphics rather than 3D models. This is why I like fighting games so much. Most of them are 2D sprite games with bright and colorful effects. And there are some design's on old sprite games that don't look as good when recreated in 3D. They might look decent enough but they won't look as good as the original source.

I've come to the conclusion that the only way to "enjoy" a David Cage videogame is to basically don't think too much about everything that happens and the characters reactions to events

Considering that I find the vast majority of bans agreeable and abusive bans can be appealed in the refugee camp I don't really see the problem. Specific rules would still be open to interpretation and would just make everything tiresome and messy. At least this is honest and allows them to easily deal with people skirting on the brink of the rules.

Wii U is the best console of this gen (PS4 is a close second purely because of Bloodborne) Skyrim sucks willy DOOM 4 looks like garbage Bioshock Infinite sucks willy Fallout NV > Fallout 3 (not sure if unpopular anymore) Fallout 4 is a 6/10 at best League of Legends is boring as heck and DOTA 2 is much, much more better than it I don't know how unpopular these opinions are here but there ya go.
