Unpopular Opinions V5: "I still don't like Half Life 2."
God bless not being American and just having to refer to people as "him" or "her"
it usually doesn't matter if you are ftm or mtf, ultimately in the end you are still either one or the other. it makes life much easier when you have just he, she, and they to refer to people and it covers virtually every possible situation
My opinion on the whole pronoun thing is it literally takes like 2 seconds to ask someone what their preferred pronouns are and it basically takes no effort to use them. Calling someone a "he" even if they do not feel comfortable with the gendered label just because they have a penis is just being rude, and also, for example, missing the medical condition of female fetuses, like xx chromosomes, higher levels of estrogen, etc, growing penises, and then the baby being labeled as men by birth. Biologically, the only thing making them a male is their genitalia, while the rest of their structure is female, so saying "Dick = dude" is totally missing the other aspects of sex identity.

Even by the most basic understanding his line of logic quickly becomes iffy.
If a baby gets born with an underdeveloped penis and vagina then his statement becomes confusing.
If a woman has an incredibly large dosage of testosterone from an early age and production of test due to partial man parts it becomes iffy.
Now when there are no genital abnormalities that goes outside of my area of specific knowledge. But the above I am quite certain about and his position doesn't adequately account for those situations.

I sure as shit ain't gonna ask everyone I meet btw you are a girl/dude riiiight just double checkin. This will alienate 99% of the population. Either the correct pronoun is obvious due to appearance or I will simply have to get corrected once.
Personally being a biologist I'd consider ones sex based on the set of chromosomes.
Not that I really have any controversial opinion on trans people.

Basically what I'm trying to get at is if the person acts ambiguous/looks ambiguous just be like "hey what do you want to go by because I don't want to offend you," is like a non issue. I know sometimes I act very gender ambiguous/look very nongendered or whatever and I welcome people asking that type of question. It's better to just respect other's identity rather than blanket people who medically are not the gender they look or whatever.

That is their sex. They are talking about gender

But being corrected is quicker and as long as they don't throw a temper tantrum is the easiest route.

Yea but it's kind of more offensive because it's a reinforcement of the notion of compulsory cis genderism and that there are proper ways to do gender and such proper ways involve things that cannot be changed like bone structure, height, whatever other giveaways people use to distinct genders based on looks.
For the record I think the whole concept of gender is dumb but I have to work with what society has because it's really hard to just like remove gender from society at this point.
I love it when people find it in themselves to refer to someone's biological gender as opposed to the pronouns they prefer, because when they do this they might as well write "cunt" on their forehead. They're warning you that they shouldn't be socially interacted with because they're selfish and so focused on their own personal philosophy to actually be reasoned with or enjoyed. If they're going to call transgendered people their biological sex, who's to say they're going to stop there? Who's to say that the differences you and that person have (that require minuscule amounts of effort to compromise on) aren't going to offend them to the point that they become so brave that they're going to make a mountain out of a molehill? Run while you can, because that red flag is as big as the sun.
"I'll be caught dead before you catch me referring to someone by the pronoun they prefer." - A big ol' baby.

Maybe im reading this wrong but is this meant more for people who are adamantly against it or everyone who would make an assumption?

I get that's its potentially more offensive bUT in the long run as long as the pronoun-receiving party doesn't throw a bitch fit the process goes as simple as
"S/he blah blah blah"
"I'm S/he"
"My bad (insert conversation here)"
It sucks to offend uneccissarily, but a quick scolding remark that isn't inflammatory fixes it if the one who made the mistake isn't a cunt

The existance of gender identity. It's pretty much considered fact at this point.
I know that may sound odd coming from me, but I swear, I'm not transphobic.

I disagree.
The odds of somebody looking ambiguous but clearly feeling more like a women/man is more likely then transgenderism. Asking a girl effectively "you are a girl right?" will do wonders for her self esteem.
In that case me asking you are X right will likely make them feel worse rather then better. If its really ambiguous I prefer to:
A: ask somebody else
B: wait until somebody else says something that identifies their gender while in the mean time just using you/name.
Tiny minorities will always be slightly inconvenienced and that's an unchanging fact of life they need to deal with.
Like I said, I think the fact that we even need to have gendered pronouns, or gender for that matter, is a flawed system. I just try to make the best of a situation I don't agree with.
The processed, pre-sliced plastic bread at supermarkets are the worst thing ever and are not worth buying or eating. The only good bread is fresh bread from a bakery.
The Germans of Facepunch can probably agree with me on this.

There is a little bakery/cheese co-op down the street from me and after I started going there I cannot buy bread anywhere else. Like their bread is always freshly baked, still warm from the over, and it costs like fractions of what supermarkets sell worse quality versions for. There is nothing better than a freshly baked baguette in my opinion, especially when it only costs a few cents!
I fucking love going to Germany for the food alone man, there's nothing better than freshly baked bread in the morning
A psychonaut's tips and tricks to finding your wallet
Ever lost your wallet, phone or any thing of the like?
Here is an idea to help get your mind to work with you, not against you. If done correctly an epiphany or an "aha!" moment should occur in helping find it.
The first is the pictogram method:
Step 1: write out what you want to accomplish.
I want to find my wallet.
Step 2: Eliminate the vowels and repeating letters.
WNTFDML
Step 3: Make a picture or symbol of the lost item from left over letters.
Step 4:
Picture the symbol in your mind until the epiphany comes of where the lost item lays.

Bakery bread isn't that good for sandwiches. Sliced white bread is soft and easy to bite through. Europeans like their bread hard as a rock for some reason. That's not good for a sandwich. you bite in and you have to rip the bread off, fucking with the insides of the sandwich. American bread ensures atomicity in the sandwich eating experience

Nah, you weak Americans just need to develop stronger jaws.

the grocery store i work at makes their own bread (but also has other brands brought in as well) and they discount it when the bread is fresh out of the oven. its actually really good

I like just eating bread on its own if it's good enough.

Try it with olive oil.
Bread and olive oil is one the greatest gifts God hath bestowed upon man.
Remixes suck. Whenever I get a special edition album I never listen to the remixes by other artists.
The latest attacks in Israel prove that the wall separating Israel from the West Bank is needed for security.

That is a form of passive magick/self-hypnosis

Magic does not exist.
It is however a form of hypnosis. You are indeed correct.

You just don't know that it exists because you are not wizard.

yeah it does, ever heard of naruto??? pfft, so ignorant

If magic really did exist, it really worked and I really did use it, my life wouldn't be as crappy as it is now. I would get laid every day and have money in my pocket. The secret and new age stuff like it is bs.
