Are you crazy? Are you outta your mind?
Imo people who say kids "are just an emotional and economic restraint" have no soul or something.
I understand rationality but come on

reminds me when people say non-STEM degrees are worthless and never worth pursuing. I mean, monetarily, you're prolly right, but that's not the only metric.
Root beer tastes like ass
Drink actual rootbeer - Sarsaparilla or Sassafras Beer.
It's a damn shame that the latter is actually illegal to manufacture on the commercial level.
When searching for a partner, it's selfish as fuck to be looking for someone more valurable than yourself.
Seems like everyone's doing so now tho'
As someone who doesn't, the hate on vaping here is kind of silly. Why on earth does a sizable chunk of people seem to get nervous twitches whenever the word is mentioned?

I still don't get how its so popular. How many people actually drink it for the taste?

A vocal minority that acts all high and mighty when they talk about vaping and how it's so much safer and healthier and overall better than using old fashioned cigarettes. While those things are, for the most part, true (not all fluids are nicotine-free, scientific studies don't show long term effects yet, etc etc.), bragging about it does not make you any less of a cock.
Bethesda makes RPG's for people who hate RPG's.
I'm saying it and I don't give a fuck

Hi I drink beer for the taste.
You are drinking shitty beer if it tastes like what you think urine tastes like (and such beers definitely exist).

Not all American beer, just the heavily marketed popular shit like bud and coors.
I dislike the terminology of calling a pizza a "pie" pizzas are not pies they are flatbreads. Where does this pie shit come from.
Also Chicago deep-dish pizzas, while not necessarily bad, are just... not pizzas. They're trenchers filled with tomato sauce.
The only kind of beer I can drink is dark beer.
am I weird?

chances are thats what theyre basing their beer experience on
i like sierra nevada pale ale from america but thats about it
Ooh, here's an apparently unpopular opinion I hold on American beer: American breweries really need to tone it down with the hops. I really liked IPAs when I first started drinking them, but it seems like you can barely find beers these days that aren't hoppy as shit, and it gets old.
imo ciders>beers

heineken light is the closest piss analogue I have discovered
frankly I don't understand people who think beer tastes bad. It's fermented grain juice. Chances are good that you like a million other fermented agricultural products, such as soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, sour cream, sauerkraut, or yogurt. Beer flavors range from tangy and sour to chocolaty and rich.
now what I really can't understand is how people enjoy soda. Coke is fucking disgusting; it's this thick brown slurry that tastes like pure sugar and turns your teeth chalky. Sprite is artificially-flavored citrus syrup. If you can comfortably go through a two-liter of normal soda in a weekend I consider that disgusting.

have you actually been to America? the microbrew industry here is absolutely enormous. I live in a fairly small state and we're absolutely lousy with great hipster breweries.
i never have and never plan on drinking alcohol

I heard its because they are easy and cheap to make.

there's nothing wrong with that

same, my family has a history of alcoholism so i always turn down drinks at parties and shit like that
plus most of my friends turn into total fuckin losers when they drink
gaming is seriously going to face some kind of rapid decline or at the very best strong stagnation if nothing is done about anticonsumer practices as they stand
a new gamer in 2007 would have bought a videogame, maybe an expansion pack/dlc and have the full game
a new gamer a few years from now will probably be discouraged from having anything to do with the medium when confronted by over 300 dollars of season passes and micropayments right out of the gate
it's getting to the point to where multiple game mechanics in multiplayer games are being locked to microtransaction specific systems only
it seems like any other art medium doesn't need to do this shit to get the consumer's money yet veteran gamers are finally coming to terms with this shit and not giving a fuck about being milked
moviegoers seem like they're still going to be paying a flat rate to see an entire movie
book readers will still pay a single fee to get their book
etc etc, it seems like gaming is really hostile to newcomers at this point and things aren't looking up
There's another really worrisome trend I've noticed that points towards some sort of massive crash happening in the near future, and I don't really see it being addressed anywhere.
Namely, I've noticed that the amount of releases on Steam has grown MASSIVELY over the years, almost at an exponential rate, to the point where I wonder why anyone even bothers with starting an Indie business anymore.
Case in point, let me show you like this:
From November 2010 to 2011, about 300 games were released on Steam. Not exactly a low amount but not incredibly huge either.
From 2011 to 2012, it was about 375 to 400 games
And between Nov. 2012 to 2013: 500 games. It is worth noting that October 2012 is when Steam Greenlight was first introduced, so that + Early Access was running throughout the entire year of 2013 without any real notable effect.
Up to this point, things seemed fine. There was an upwards trend, but it happened slowly, and it was still possible to have an Overview of the Steam store and new releases. Something completely snapped in 2014 however:
From November 2013 to 2014, there were about 1'650 (!) game releases, more than three times as many as in the previous year.
And here comes the kicker: From 2014 to today, roughly 3'000 games (!!!) were released on Steam, almost doubling the amount of the previous year.
That accounts for just short of 45% of all game that are available on Steam right now! And to top the whole thing off: The DLC releases developed in the exact same fashion. About 2'500 DLCs were released in the past 12 months, which accounts for 40% total.
This of course raises the question: What the fucking hell is going on? It certainly isn't Greenlight's fault, since that already existed throughout 2013, and only about 800 games were released through that system up until today, which still leaves us with a huge remainder.
Like, it's gotten so bad that you can count up to 25 games releasing on the same date. I doubt that even 1/10 of these games will even get more than a few hundred buyers by themselves, and if you add big releases like Fallout 4 that draw away the attention, I can't imagine any of these games being successful at all when they release around that same time.
I remember TotalBiscuit making a video back in September about Indie games that were getting no coverage, receiving no publicity whatsoever and were thus failing. Well no wonder they aren't getting any recognition, there's so many fucking games on the market nowadays that it's impossible for people to acknowledge, let alone even fucking play them in their lifetime. You can make something unbelievably awesome but it'll never get found in the tidal wave that is currently happening.
This also has a negative effect on the consumer: With so many games coming out, the players have no idea which of them are good or which are bad, since even the review sites (or the Steam reviews themselves) have trouble catching up. This mirrors the Atari crash situation way back, when people couldn't buy games without the risk of it being shovelware.
Add this onto these general anti-consumer attitudes that permeate the game industry nowadays, and you've got yourself a recipe for disaster. I can't even begin to imagine how this will develop in the coming year.
Tl;dr: 3000 game releases in the past 12 months, accounts for about half of all releases on Steam. Market is more than just over-saturated and will probably lead to a crash.
in n out and chick fil-a are both overrated garbage
root beer "connoisseurs" are laughable boobs
the difference between mug and ibc and a&w are noticeable but ultimately negligible and in the end you're drinking brown sugar water.
As a connoisseur of soda, I feel qualified to tell you that I'm the funniest boob I know.
Barq's is an awesome root beer, and I'm not sure why sodas (especially the lesser-known brands) try to go for that floaty creamy flavor of A&W. Barq's has kind of a wintergreen kick to it, and all of my childhood I loved going to Jack in the Box specifically for something that I was only able to find at their chain.
Seriously though, I have a lust for carbonated sugar water. Friends at High School knew me for my weird soda and the last thing I got from a kind friend before she died was this!
[t]https://sodapopriot.files.wordpress.com/2010/07/dsc02967.jpg[/t]
I still have the bottle! It's a cool memory.
My unpopular opinion is that fountains need to have more sodas in their rotation that aren't just from Pepsi, Coke, and Dr. Pepper. As a lover of Dr. Pepper and Barq's, there's flavors that are wonderful that just don't appear at fountains and aren't mainstream enough to be in all of the stores. Take, for example, Orange Cream soda, or Key Lime Pie soda, or Ginger Beer, or Birch Beer, or Melon soda, or Grapefruit soda, Cucumber soda, or the best grape soda on the planet:
[t]http://www.eatlikenoone.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/NuGrape.JPG[/t]
I'm not as interested in going out and grabbing eccentric sodas as I was before, but as tired as I am of French Fries (which are absolutely everywhere as the default side and therefore boring), I just wish that there was more variety in the fountain drink options at different places. I understand the limitations and the fact that people aren't into trying new stuff like I am, but sometimes the monotony is bothersome.

There is a saying that American beer tastes like piss. Try more world beers!
Seriously though, I have a lust for carbonated sugar water.
the only soda i don't like is Big Red.
Jones Soda is the GOAT
I shouldn't have to try 30 different brands of virtually the same thing to find one that isn't shit. Frankly I hate the taste of alcohol in general, I've tried everything from beer to homemade wine and 100% what I taste is the alcohol. The fact that the people giving the me drink act like it's the nectar of the gods only for me to be greeted by the most revolting taste I've had since I tried tea doesn't give me a positive attitude to try recommendations.
as gradeaundera says, the best alchoholic drinks are the feminine, fruity things you get at bars

They're kinda like those annoying stoners that constantly push pot as the best thing ever yet FP in general seems to have no issue with them so it looks a bit hypocritical.
same, my family has a history of alcoholism so i always turn down drinks at parties and shit like that
This is exactly why I stopped drinking. That and I have an easy time getting a buzz but an extremely difficult time maintaining one (fast metabolism and I'm a fairly small person) which tends to result in me drinking too much trying to.
There is a saying that American beer tastes like piss. Try more world beers!
There's a video I watched years ago where people in Europe tried American brewed beers. There was one German who tried the Budweiser and it was not even half a second he was gagging and spewed it right out. "What the fuck is this? This is joke? This is joke!" When they told him it was not a joke and Budweiser was the king for American beer he started laughing and went "You fucking retards this is BEST? In Germany we wouldn't dare even label this as our worst!"
I'd love to compare but I've only had 2 alcoholic beverages (this year in fact) in my 24 years of life and both of them were this, it's delicious, goes great with steak or burgers. The best way to describe it would be drinking blue berry oatmeal with orange. I wonder how the Pumpkin Harvest Spice is.
