Unpopular Opinions V5: "I still don't like Half Life 2."
As a connoisseur of soda, I feel qualified to tell you that I'm the funniest boob I know.
Barq's is an awesome root beer, and I'm not sure why sodas (especially the lesser-known brands) try to go for that floaty creamy flavor of A&W. Barq's has kind of a wintergreen kick to it, and all of my childhood I loved going to Jack in the Box specifically for something that I was only able to find at their chain.
Seriously though, I have a lust for carbonated sugar water. Friends at High School knew me for my weird soda and the last thing I got from a kind friend before she died was this!

I still have the bottle! It's a cool memory.
My unpopular opinion is that fountains need to have more sodas in their rotation that aren't just from Pepsi, Coke, and Dr. Pepper. As a lover of Dr. Pepper and Barq's, there's flavors that are wonderful that just don't appear at fountains and aren't mainstream enough to be in all of the stores. Take, for example, Orange Cream soda, or Key Lime Pie soda, or Ginger Beer, or Birch Beer, or Melon soda, or Grapefruit soda, Cucumber soda, or the best grape soda on the planet:

I'm not as interested in going out and grabbing eccentric sodas as I was before, but as tired as I am of French Fries (which are absolutely everywhere as the default side and therefore boring), I just wish that there was more variety in the fountain drink options at different places. I understand the limitations and the fact that people aren't into trying new stuff like I am, but sometimes the monotony is bothersome.
What root beers or ginger ales are the best? Both hard and non alcoholic?
What about apple soda?
For root beer try Virgil's

I've never had any fancy ginger ale, Seagram's cuts it for me.
tried it. What else. Im including hard as well. As boozy root beer or ginger ale. The coney island brand is bad.
I hate the taste of most alcoholic drinks, unless they're sweet or fruity, the girlier the better. I pass on most beers but I would drink the hell out of a White Russian anytime.
There is a saying that American beer tastes like piss. Try more world beers!

There's a video I watched years ago where people in Europe tried American brewed beers. There was one German who tried the Budweiser and it was not even half a second he was gagging and spewed it right out. "What the fuck is this? This is joke? This is joke!" When they told him it was not a joke and Budweiser was the king for American beer he started laughing and went "You fucking retards this is BEST? In Germany we wouldn't dare even label this as our worst!"
A new brewery opens in the United States every 16 hours. stop drinking gas station lagers you pretentious fucks
there are more microbrews in the United States than any other country in the world and I doubt you've tried two of them

tbh i more or less see the fruity and tasty stuff as covering up the taste of alcohol.
there's a lot of those "girly" drinks i like, but adding alcohol to them just seems to ruin it for me.
Drinking a Budweiser and coming to the conclusion that all American beer sucks is like going to a burger king and coming to the conclusion that America has no good restaurants.

Couldn't agree more. Even where I'm at theres all these little brewerys making some fantastic brews. Even back in Chicago, there was some incredible beers available. Some even take preference on some of my favorite german imported beers, and they're similarly priced.
I think these american lagers are only popular with alcoholics and college kids. Its cheap, goes down like water and hangovers are just the least bit of their problems.

My friend holds the belief that anything that "tastes good" with alcohol in it would test infinitely better and more tolerable with all of the alcohol out of it. Plus he doesn't like alcohol or being drunk.
I haven't had any of it so that's not my opinion, but it's one none the less.
I would drink absolutely anything if someone told me it has alcohol in it. Got handed a few dodgy potion type mixtures a few times.
I'm a student though.
I've yet to find an alcoholic drink I actually like.
Not for want of trying either, when I tell people I don't drink, they're usually quite eager to give me a bit of whatever they're having. There's a really popular brand known as Cody's (bourbon and cola) over here, and people I know will have a can or five, but I can't stand the stuff.
Alcohol is gross. Soda can be, too.

"master race" assholes don't even deserve steam, they are the most obnoxious gaming platform fanbase by far (just them, not all pc gamers)

I always thought that whole "master race" thing was for shits and giggles. Does anyone actually take it serious?

I think a good percentage of "master race" pricks out there are doing it ironically....

it started out as a circlejerk-esque subreddit that sort of made fun of itself but its evolved into actual snotty elitism
I always thought that whole "master race" thing was for shits and giggles. Does anyone actually take it serious?
Yes because some people unfortunately weren't given the memo that it's for shits and giggles.
The PC gaming master race deserves something better than steam TBH
The Steam store has turned into a shitshow of shovelware games over the past 2 years, so I'm inclined to agree.
The Steam market is also pure cancer, and will be the main catalyst in the emergence of micro-transactions in many future games.
I own all of Half Life... Havn't even downloaded it.. Just not into it or feeling it right now.
I do not see the appeal in Counter Strike

buying beer at a gas station is probably the least pretentious thing i could possibly think of
the rest of the world has good breweries too. except we also have decent brands of beer in stores as well

Shame I can't send you a tape of my life to amaze you I've only had 2 beers. The reason for that is because I was on Zoloft my entire life up until about a year ago.
I would love to try a Guinness. Any recommendations?
*desperate scream from Origin sounds in the distance*
I actually really like Origin. It's a good client that suffers from a lack of games that aren't from EA.
[sp]It's totally not because most of my Origin library are the free games they give away every month[/sp]
